A beautiful tribute to an unnamed friend. I've enjoyed your bio and a few of your poems now. Don't know why you don't have more comments. Perhaps you don't ever comment on other people's work? Try it.
At any rate, I'm glad I saw your poem of today and satisfied my curiosity. I think you're good!

Delightful!
I know that you are lamenting something here,
and that the undercurrents reflect deep emotion,
but the flow is great and the poem would lend itself
nicely to being a song. Good job Lainey!
