The Gods Of War (Book) - 6/1/2010 11:08:21 PM
Well - I can only say what a good book A soldier's story of his journey through war into madness and his fight to survive. From page to page, beginning to end, this book will not let you put it down until you discover the soldier's remarkable story. I think this is a great book, its easy to read and will appeal to all age groups. As a rule I would not buy war books but this had without a doubt had me gripped ... the need to know factor. Read this book. You will not be disappointed. Angela Chadd

I guess I'll have to read the other ones. I don't get into this tale very well… Perhaps it's just me and I don't see the humor in it. Ron

Fractured Fairy Tales part 4 - the Three Little Pigs (Short Story) - 3/9/2014 7:18:29 AM
That sure was some powerful acid to give you a dream like that. Sure glad I don't have any dreams from my childhood or my nose would grow long instead of bulbous from the booze. Ron

Fractured Fairy Tales Part 3 - The Big Bad Wolf (Short Story) - 12/2/2013 3:38:37 AM

Fractured Fairy Tales Part 3 - The Big Bad Wolf (Short Story) - 12/1/2013 7:34:00 AM
Not my genre, but an engaging, while totally outrageous, fantasy tale. I could view the action movie the whole time I was reading. Ron

Fractured Fairy Tales Part 2 - Hansel & Gretel (Short Story) - 6/29/2013 8:35:10 AM
Fractured is the word. Not the usual suspects, but a rather usual story of the good guys winning and revenge. I saw a couple of typos and some of the sentences could be tightened up a bit to make the story flow better. I'm not into crime stories, based on nursery rhymes or not, so I wasn't turned on. Ron

Spring Heeled Jack (Short Story) - 7/18/2012 6:16:52 PM
Great story; well done, Peter!

Spring Heeled Jack (Short Story) - 7/2/2012 6:39:30 PM
Very enjoyable; love the description of floating in space above the earth. It would be helpful if the verb forms were consistent: it keeps changing from past to present tense.

Spring Heeled Jack (Short Story) - 6/20/2012 1:37:14 PM
Great story.I love SHJ.So much so that I wrote a book about him. The Bones of Jack. About a chimney sweep and rat catcher who find the remains of the infamous villain and bring his legend back to life.

A Tale Of Tails (Short Story) - 7/2/2010 7:32:08 AM
A truly delightful story. One that could be read over and over to your child. I especially liked that King Leo was a good king and brought happiness to the animals of his kingdom. Donna

I'm Still Lerning To Play (Article) - 8/1/2014 8:13:18 AM
You are so right. I've heard people say that they were going to do this or that anymore. To me they were telling me they were dying. I'm amazed at how little I know about writing after writing all my life. It seems like every other day I discovered something about my writing is wrong and I need to prove it. So I change. To paraphrase Bob Dylan, "Those who are not busy [learning] are busy, dying." Ron

Myo (Article) - 6/30/2014 6:11:16 AM
I'm not a student of Japanese terminology or Japanese fighting styles. But I learned early on that, especially when in the wild or wilderness that I should take full advantage of everything around me and not worry about where I am stepping or whether I will be hurt or bit by a snake and just enjoy all the serendipity there was, revealing remarkable surprises. As for writing, I'm in the moment now, writing this. I often get the idea for a short story and sit down and write it all in one session without stopping. Two or three days later I go back and analyze and make corrections. It works very well for me. I am currently editing a book that has the same repetitive mistakes over and over again that I have to remove or change by hand because there are no "all in one" solutions--I've done all those. It is very slow and nerve-racking and not, in the moment, at all. Ron

enjoyed reading your interesting narrative

Daring To Participate (Article) - 6/7/2014 7:19:10 AM
I'm glad this wasn't about martial arts. Bruce Lee was fantastic, and so were the samurais in hand-to-hand combat, not practiced in war anymore. Mostly it appears to be a cult of the kind that I like to avoid. On the other hand, your well written article is terrific in pointing out how we can better ourselves and face fear. I especially like the last paragraph first sentence because I have found that so many people in our society where real fear rarely occurs, have manufactured fears in their minds that keep them from leading full lives. Ron
