Coastal Whispers (Book) - 2/29/2004 7:13:34 AM
The author states that this book of poetry ‘has something for everyone’ and after reading it, I would agree. The poems in this book embrace a myriad of topics from faith in God, to nature, to friendship and love, to life’s tragedies, heartaches, and triumphs. I especially liked the poems reflecting what the author sees and feels near the ocean. I am happy to recommend Coastal Whispers to anyone who enjoys poetry written from one’s heart and soul.

Mopping Away Life’s Sadness (Short Story) - 9/16/2009 12:47:28 PM
You have a beautiful soul Jill and you're a gifted writer. Your story is heart wrenching and written perfectly. I shed more than a few tears as I read it. I read it three times and then I printed it out. It's a story I'm going to read to the youngest ones in my family when they're old enough to understand. I'm fast approaching the autumn of my life and if I need help I hope there will be a Jill Eisnaugle who will come to my aide. Your payment was in the doing. Somewhere in the Bible it says, "We are closest to God's heart when we are doing for others." May God bless and keep you, Marcia~

Mopping Away Life’s Sadness (Short Story) - 9/15/2009 3:57:32 PM
I cried. Reminds me of the 93-year-old man whose lawn I mowed for three years. We talked for hours. Herb Morrison, who got the old guy's groceries, 82 himself, was a former war correspondent, announcer, and witness to the Hindenburg explosion. It was a pleasure to know such men. Ron

Mopping Away Life’s Sadness (Short Story) - 9/15/2009 5:52:41 AM

Youth's "I know everything" sometimes are just shell where to hide. We read about the few baddies but nobody mention the thousands upon thousands of youngsters that carry groceries, read to elders, visit elderly Homes and...care. Thanks for an extraordinary and sweet story, it make my day! Georg

The Thin Line Between North and South (Short Story) - 7/7/2008 4:57:42 PM
Jill, I can wholly sympathize with your initial confusion. I moved from St. Louis, Mo. to Nashville, Tn when I was seven. I had a hard time understanding my teacher so my grades went down. But I've lived in the south ever since and love it: the weather, the friendly grace with which (many) people treat others, and the beauty of its beach and mountains. Thanks for giving me cause to think about it! Leann

A Mug of Dreams (Short Story) - 4/20/2008 2:53:00 PM
That is a beautiful story. I know how special a gift from your kids can be. My daughter bought me a coffee mug. It was plastic so after many cups of coffee it was impossible to clean out the black inside. I used it anyway. They came to the rescue with a new coffee mug although I had never said anything to them. This one is ceramic. I still have the old one. I will keep it. I use the new one. The newest gift from my daughters. Keep writing. God Bless, Lew

The Man in Gray (Short Story) - 12/20/2007 4:48:21 PM
Wonderful story, Jill. A "Man in Black" with a voice as deep as Johnny Cash and winning charm from his wheelchair died young last week. His funeral is Saturday and the Houston disabled community will come out in his honor. He wanted to write his story of his humble Louisiana beginnings, his accident, and his overcoming odds to come out of a nursing home to independence. I regret not helping Michael Thomas finish his story. Ron

Lemonade from Lemons – Turning Negative Situations into Positive Outcomes (Article) - 3/26/2008 9:39:39 AM
What a wonderful, courageous and compassionate act! Many people may feel like helping..but many are too scared of the reception they may receive. Two peoples lives transformed on this rainy day in March...The lesson also is 'things aren't always what they appear'..This is such an uplifting piece... Love and Blessings, Diana.

Resurrecting Love at Easter: Is It a Good Idea? (Article) - 3/21/2008 11:02:44 AM
I personally think that to reconcile with some one after a long period without being able to think of it as meeting someone all new for the first time is doomed to failure. Time and life experiences do change people, sometimes for the better but just as often for the worst. Fee

Relationship Obituaries: A New Way to Move Forward? (Article) - 3/1/2008 6:39:22 AM
There has actually been a wall online for as many years as I've been out here so I don't know when it started but it was put up for abuse survivors to write/send letters meant for their abusers. Though the abusers will most likely never see them, the healing for the others who come to read and then write their own is amazing. A lot of healing in just seeing that others felt the same way and that voicing those feelings didn't send bolts of lighting down to kill them in their place as many who were abused where told that horror would be bestowed on them and their family. So I have no doubt that it would work in any other area. Just because we feel something doesn't mean that those first feelings are what we carry the rest of our lives, they are only the beginnings of the defensive part of us that helps us through the first hurts. Lady J

Relationship Obituaries: A New Way to Move Forward? (Article) - 2/29/2008 9:07:25 PM
Jill, When my mother died (nearly 18 years ago), I was angry: bitter because she was too young (I thought) to die (59 years old). Didn't cry for six months. Was watching an Oprah Winfrey program, the guest speaker said to write a letter to your dead loved one - I'm like, "WHAT???? They're never going to read it." The woman (can't remember her name) said that you could say anything - ANYTHING - expressing sadness, anger, happy memories, whatever - thought about it - started a letter and it wound up being 12 pages in length - I cried for three days straight - sometimes writing is the way to release your emotions, to let go - to heal. I know my poetry has been a lifesaver - keep writing, okay? Excellent, thought provoking write - (((HUGS))), love and prayer, Karla.

Relationship Obituaries: A New Way to Move Forward? (Article) - 2/29/2008 4:12:35 PM
Yes Jill, I have to agree about writiing being one of the most powerful tools in self healing the pain of heartaches and breakups. We do not need to be bitter and angry but we can express our pain and sadness and that goes a long way to help the healing process so we can move forward in our lives again. hugs Fee

The “After-Valentine” Valentine’s Day (Article) - 2/5/2008 4:55:32 PM
Nice article jill. I totally agree with you. If we spread the Romantic actions throughout the year it takes the pressure off of V-Day! Those Prices--80 bucks for roses on the day--25 the rest of the year!!!

Lemonade from Lemons – Turning Negative Situations into Positive Outcomes (Article) - 1/2/2008 9:04:06 PM
What a story!!! Such stories should be repeated in this world of individualism and self-centredness. You are correct, there is meaning and reason for anything that happens on or to us. We just need to figure out the meaning to that event or experience. Once more, thanks for sharing yourself and energies in touching the life of a lonely, abandoned lady. God bless.

Why Do We Want to be Famous? (Article) - 6/25/2007 4:25:30 PM
Interesting insight. Most people long for more excitement in their otherwise boring existance of deadly routine. They see celebs as living better. Many people feel that more money will make them happier. They see celebs as having more money and getting it without working hard. I am an existentialist. The only way that I will exist in the minds of those who follow is to be famous. If the words to just one of my poems is remembered like, "[A]nd I took the one less traveled by", a thousand years from now, then I will be famous. That's why I want to be famous. Ron

What About the True American Idols? (Article) - 5/20/2007 11:49:13 AM
While I agree that unsung heroes should get the fame--and some do--the key is in the 'blind and obsessive' favored by the popularity contest that is American Idol. Ron

What About the True American Idols? (Article) - 5/20/2007 6:50:46 AM
The true 'idols' of the world are not singers! As you said, there are those who are true idols and get little recognition. I feel our country has lost some of its values -- our idols need more than they ever receive. Fantastic piece of writing, Jill. Kate

What About the True American Idols? (Article) - 5/19/2007 3:47:43 PM
Very well stated and much needed article about where things seem to be going wrong in this world. You are so right, people die every day to help. to protect and to serve...where is there national recognition anymore? Fee

What About the True American Idols? (Article) - 5/19/2007 1:11:27 PM
I agree with this, we are not giving our true "Idols" our true hero's the credit they deserve... God Bless Michelle~

Prayer for Fort Hood (Poetry) - 11/6/2009 7:33:27 AM
Our nation opened the doors to every one needing protection and a home, but our naiveté surely need to wake up, not everybody is worth of those open doors. The ugly head of Islam came because we opened our doors indiscriminately, don't tell me he was a psychiatry unstable one, there is not a muslim extremist that is not. If you open your door to a killer don't ask why when he is about to kill you. Islam 13 and 30 - Innocence 0 Georg PS. Prayer for Fort Hood (Poetry) - 11/5/2009 5:25:39 PM
You have a remarkable heart to keep your composure enough that you could bring your talents to create a tribute to those who so deserve it. Humanity has a lot of bulbs out, and it is getting dark. I'm thankful those with hearts are shining brighter. We need light. John

Prayer for Fort Hood (Poetry) - 11/5/2009 4:53:24 PM
Jill, My heart is breaking ... in my backyard. You'd expect the enemy shoots to kill, "over there," but not here, on U.S. soil ... the tears haven't stopped falling since I heard. So sad. So sad ... (((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *tears*
