A Touch of Your Presence (Book) - 3/7/2005 6:24:46 AM
After reading "A Touch of Your Presence," I held this book close to my chest and exhaled. The words of hope, love, joy and peace comforted my hurting spirit. It was like a friend feeding the words to me that I needed to hear. I was renewed in God's love for me and mine for Him. I truly had a Touch of His Presence.
This book is like a fresh drink of water, an anchor on sinking sand. The presentation and art work are lovely as well.

Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 7/31/2003 4:54:32 AM
My summary of Harvest of Souls Crossover - A novel by V.A. McCloud is: the novel was written in a very easy to read and understanding way. I have read this novel twice and paged through it twice. Each time something different stands out in my mind. The novel is good in comparing the good and evil worlds. It is also good in describing in detail the happenings in the Harvest of Souls Crossover one world. This novel to me relates to what is happening right now in this world we live in as christians. I really enjoyed reading your first novel. I like to read for knowledge and understanding when I'm reading. I like reading and this novel was interesting and had me thinking what is going to happen next. I would recommend this novel to others for reading.

I read your book and it was hard for me at first to get understanding in the beginning chapters. I kept reading on and then could not put the book down. I believe it was when I got to chapter seven that I read to the end in one night. My suspense was up and I wanted to find out what happen. It reminded me of our church and others of today and the world around us. I too am ready for your next release. I want to find out what really happen at the end of the fight, who died and what happens next.

Oh, V A McCloud,
Well, we are actually through. My son and I
had so many comments and commendable things to say about this novel, we collaborated our
thoughts. (Ryan) This book is off-the-hook.
I really like all the cool characters. I can't believe the author wrote a novel like this and we are actually living in the things that were actually mentioned in this novel alone. (Yolanda} I can just echo what my son mentioned. I do want to highlight on all the dynamic characters in this novel. How in the world did you invent such incredible names?
The novel is such a breath-of-fresh air, I'v never read anything so inspiring before. You did say this was fiction, didn't you? This book reveiw definitely is Four****. Greeeat Novel. Can't wait until the next novel.

I have finally finished your book, I am really lost for words. I can't explain the effect that book has on me. I went to church Sunday, and I don't think I will ever look at people the same because I begin to realize that there are some Shuby’s and his followers in the churches of today. And Sunday when I was sitting there, I thought to myself, I wonder who's in here that came for the wrong reasons. This is a good, good book and it keeps you wanting more and more of it. I sure hope grandpa is alright, and I hope Granny P makes it o.k. too! Yes, please hurry with Part II of this book. I can't wait to see what happens next. I will be sending Oprah her book this week along with my statements. May God give you favor with her!! Thanks for sharing such an awesome book!! and yes, I can see this book becoming a movie.

“Harvest of Souls Crossover”: An Exhilarating Experience
“Harvest of Souls Crossover” pitches good against evil from the first page to the very last word. This book invokes visual images in the mind of the reader and the characters’ personalities and attributes are amplified as the chapters progress. As Grandpa Howdy narrates this epic, the reader can almost hear his voice and visualize him sitting with all the children surrounding him as they listen intently.
Shuby and his “boys” serve as countertypes to Grandpa Howdy, Granny P and the children. In every good thing that Grandpa Howdy and his family represent, Shuby and his followers represent the exact opposite. Shuby, SicDi, PoPo Boy, and Heart Breaker Kid allow the reader to put “faces” to the enemies. This book can be used as a tool in helping youth and children identify the real enemies in daily life and provide methods to overcoming and conquering them.
As the climax builds, “Harvest of Souls Crossover” is overflowing with enthralling action, suspense, surprise, and witty humor. This book is perfect for the patient, inquisitive reader as well as those who enjoy a fast-paced, action-packed adventure.
VA McCloud writes from the heart of a true storyteller. Each character, chapter, and level of the plot have distinct and consistent characteristics, wholesome attributes and the fluidity to make “Harvest of Souls Crossover” a must-read for any household.
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 5/2/2003 3:34:56 PM
Description: Proof that the righteous prevail
Sometimes the world and people in it can be dangerous and cruel. How often have you been stung by the hatred or meanness of another? What makes it bad, the person had a facade of kindness, and their malicious deed occurred without a warning. Now imagine a parent trying to explain this kind of behavior, so their child doesn’t fall into the snares of these wicked traps. A creative narrative not only captures the child’s attention, but it also gets a message across without nagging or preaching.
“Harvest of Souls Crossover” educates children about the real behaviors of different types of people through a mini science fiction novel. Grandpa Howdy begins by telling his grandchildren the story of how two worlds of people – good and evil – became one. Now it was hard to tell the difference between those from either world. The lukewarm people are the worst, because they attend church on Sunday, and create holy havoc the rest of the week.
Shuby, the master of evil, wants to get rid of the good ones, but he needs to destroy the ten forefathers who lay asleep in tombs. Grandpa Howdy has hidden the forefathers, until their time to wake and save the good people. Several interesting events lead up to a special church service, where Shuby and three of his followers metamorphosis to “look good” in order to find information about the forefathers. But, the grandchildren are gifted with special powers to overcome the evil.
V.A. McCloud builds a bridge between hip hop and old school. Names like Heart Breaker Kid, Peacemaker, and Goody Two Shoes describe the characters, while the context explains the outcomes of their behaviors. Most children and teenagers will smile as they recognize traits of family and friends. I recommend “Harvest of Souls Crossover” to parents or guardians as a child’s gift to help reinforce any religious schooling.
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 4/19/2003 6:23:23 PM
It has been a pleasant experience to have read the Harvest of Souls Crossover. One thing that kept coming back to me was that, although this is fiction,I can see todays" world in this book. I can truly say that this is an outstsnding work. There must have been times when you burned a bit of midnight oil in completing this book,to say the least. I admire your imagination and ability to produce such fine work. The book came to an interesting close. I am wondering what is going to be the fate of Grandpa and the other good people. I will be waiting for part II to see how Grandpa deals with this one. I thoroughly enjoyed and was blessed by reading The Harvest of Souls Crossover.
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 3/28/2003 6:14:59 PM
After having read the book twice, I found it to be very interesting and full of life. It really relates to what is happening in our real lives today. The evils of this world wants to take over the good. I am really and truly looking forward to Part II. It gives one a sense of hope and something to hold to in looking for our forefathers and our Love for our Lord and Saviour to see us through.
We all as believer must keep our hearts pure. I think the quality of this book was well written and a lot of heart felt thoughts were put into telling the story. I give it a Thumbs Up!!
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 3/25/2003 10:47:39 AM
After reading "Harvest of Souls Crossover," I had to settle back into my seat as I was captivated. The suspense was breathtaking. As a reader for many years, I find that this book is one of the most POWERFUL books of its time. I was moved by the way the author was able to capture the reader at some point and hold you within the plot of this great literary work. The message in "Harvest of Souls Crossover" gains dynamics after each chapter i.e. it becomes very clear that people and things are not always what they seem and that there are consequences to whatever we choose to do be it good or bad. Therefore, I recommend this book to readers of all ages. Come and experience what every reader wishes to experience a "good journal" through the pages of a book that invites you into the world of its characters and make them come alive. Much honor to V.A. McCloud for the literary excellence exemplified in "Harvest of Souls Crossover."
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 3/19/2003 3:40:47 PM
After not reading a book through to completion for many years, I found "Harvest of Souls Crossover" to compete quite well with books by the so called "great" authors. Once you commit to reading the book it pulls you right into the story line where you seem to have a front row seat to all that's going on. This is a true to life story that will captivate the most finicky audience. Although categorized as fiction the storyline is most definitely one with which all Christians can relate. Adults and teens alike should find this as excellent reading.

I have finally concluded your book. Your talents and abilities were an inspiration to me. Your book was truly written for such a time as this. It had a lot of truth to be fiction. i believe it will be a #1 seller. It has definitely exposed the dark world and its onslaught against the church. It is a wake-up call to many. You left me in suspense and I can not wait until Part-2 is released. Hurry!!!!!!!!
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 2/18/2003 2:10:12 PM
V.A. McCloud: I hope you realize how wonderful your book is. This book needs to be in every home that has children.
I can see this book, as a movie series, video game and the possibilities are endless. To sum it up..…. I wish I had been given this vision. God gave it to you and I can't wait to see what levels He promotes this book, which obviously was guided by His precious hand.
I am not much of a talker; in fact I have told that I am shy -- imagine that at my age. Anyway, I will do all I can to get this book out. Very soon I will need at least five (5) more copies: One for my pastor, one for my goddaughter and three for my sons to introduce to their churches.
This is book is a blessing and I will be in agreement with you for the success of this book and the following sequels. The presentation, character structure, and message content are beyond words. Thank you for being obedient and writing this book.
The ending of your book was actually chilling. I was getting goose bumps and actually chilly the way you introduced the evil entering into the church disguised as do-gooders. I am serious and not just trying to make you feel good, this series is going places. Keep promoting!

This is one of the most thought provoking books I have read in a long time. It kept my attention from start to finish. I appreciate the underling message, which could be easily missed if you're just skimming through the book. Its the attention and detail that V.A. McCloud gives in describing each of the characters that makes this book come alive. There are powerful forces at work all around us at all times. And the essences of that fact is certainly captured in the pages of "Harvest of Souls Crossover". This is one book which is destined to become an ongoing saga and best seller. And I want to thank V.A. McCloud for sharing with me this God inspired vision.............
Harvest of Souls Crossover (Book) - 2/14/2003 5:08:18 PM
"Harvest of Souls Crossover" captured my attention from the very first page. I read all chapters except one within 24 hours. The book is full of suspense, humor, love, and nuturing. Although you wrote the book to capture the youth, the charisma of the book will captivate any audience that loves fiction and anyone that is young at heart, no matter what age. The terminology is easily understood and anyone can relate to it. I think the book is FANTASATIC! Please hurry and get the next sequel out!

I felt this from beginning to the ending. May you be blessed for speaking the truth even though life, battles, trials, tribulations, pain and grief allows us to stary. You make it easier for a backslider to come back to Jesus for it is a good and perfect will of God. This is excellent in the Lord's eyes and any believer of Christ and the living way of the word.

Absolutely beautiful, McCloud, and such a truism: There is power in prayer! Keep up the great writing and, when you have time, take a look at my latest A/D contribution--"The Ice Princess." You might also be interested in my two Biblical works.
