If I Could (Poetry) - 1/7/2012 6:09:50 PM
A FINE WORK...ONE THAT EVERY PERSON ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH CAN RELATE TO BECAUSE WE 'ALL'...HAVE INSTANCES IN OUR LIVES THAT WE WISH WE COULD FIX...IF...WE COULD. THIS IS A KEEPER, THURMAN AND THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...

If I Could (Poetry) - 12/15/2011 4:29:11 PM
oh, you expressed my own thoughts so well, Thurman! Remorse and regret plague me as well..it is a part of aging...realizations - come late - kick in a conscience that haunts us..my wise nephew told me, "Youth is for making mistakes'...that must be it.
Most
Americans will tell you not to beat yourself up and to move on...I can not understand that..it's an attitude thing.
Bless you and Merry Christmas!

It's a God-given gift, Thurman. Use it wisely, directed by Him, and there will be someone, somewhere, who needed it.

You have opened a Pandora's box here, Thurman, as memories rush in. Some things, we can try to make amends for; others, we have to take to the cross and leave them there with Jesus. He alone can give us the peace we need--peace with God and peace with our memories.
God bless,
Connie
If I Could (Poetry) - 11/11/2011 6:11:07 AM
"If I could" I would! Surely, it's difficult to undo what has already been done, but to trust in God for forgiveness that's quite possible.
Too Much Doctrine! (Poetry) - 9/9/2011 5:57:17 AM
"Too Much Doctrine!" I'm in agreement with you, Thurman! Whereupon, I'm of the opinion: what is causing the confusion with many people; putting them off God is due to too much fazed watereddown doctrine, which is going about today. A nice poem!

Thurman, God uses you to write. It's my only explanation. Some can draw some can paint...I can't but we all have a gift. As an author I am amazed how well my books sell and so each night I thank the Lord. I did not start off being a writer but all the time I knew it was my way of pleasing others.
May it be the happies and healthiest of years.

Oh, Thurman. You have spelled out so beautifully how I am feeling
right now. Not that it's a new experience, but when life is throwing
lemons at you, you tend to recall the lemons you threw, right? Not the only time mistakes flash back, just that they fly in in bunches.
Be easy on yourself, my friend. You are obviously a very fine person.
Think it's called being human.

Too Much Doctrine! (Poetry) - 10/27/2010 4:01:24 PM
Excellent writing, this contains great wisdom. It's a good reminder that we need to reach out to a hurting world with love and compassion, not to deny the evil of sin but to touch the lives around us with Jesus' love for them. Only then do they begin to see Him in us and desire to know Him.

The Potter And The Clay (Poetry) - 10/27/2010 3:38:34 PM
"How crumpled and twisted and all out of shape
Our lives can become through many a mistake"
Your poems shine with the light of faith; it's obvious you know the Potter and have lived in His light.

well written.
Patience (Poetry) - 10/23/2010 4:02:06 AM
Napoleon Hill said "What the human mind can believe the human mind can achieve" If a humble man can be so capable.Imagine what that same man can accomplish if that belief included faith in God. Nelson Mandella comes to mind as I write this. Good write Thurman. God Bless

Too Much Doctrine! (Poetry) - 10/23/2010 3:55:15 AM
Again so true. Jesus said "He who is without sin cast the first stone" Our churches are struggling here in Canada mainly because of this very mistake. "Judge not lest you be judged" seems to have been forgotten.

A Quiet State Of Mind (Poetry) - 10/17/2010 8:45:35 PM
Not much one can do about the state of the world other than resist adding to the chaos. But paths to inner peace are many and even amid the rumblings of disorder and disaster can lead indeed to the desired quiet state of mind. Much gratitude for the sharing,

The Quill (Poetry) - 10/17/2010 8:41:44 PM
Considering your background as shared on your profile page Thurman, I would be very surprised if your did not feel the urge to write quite frequently. Individuals who cultivate spiritual inspiration within their own lives and fans its flames in that of others are often filled with revelatory impulses and imagery that demand expression. Thank you for sharing yours,
Aberjhani
Sun, Moon, And Stars (Poetry) - 10/17/2010 8:05:50 PM
A lovely reminder to treasure our ageless companions and their eternal beauty, as well as their powers.
Tonight the moon here is especially clearly visible, but the title of your poem would have attracted me at any time. Thanks for posting, Thurman!
