Susan,
Right on! Love does change for most of us and the years fade by. A few are fortunate enough to keep that love...for for most of us...its not.
Many blessings,

Love (Poetry) - 10/5/2011 11:28:49 AM
Indeed, it does take a crossroads, either it matures like a fine wine, or the bottle smashes in to a million shards.

Love (Poetry) - 10/5/2011 1:17:58 AM
Oh how observant this is. Love only lasts whilst the games are fun. Then it is off in a flash. I think people are losing the art of long term relationships as the skills required to maintain them fade away along with the desire to do so.
Sad Notes (Poetry) - 10/3/2011 7:39:42 AM
Well crafted and haunting story and perspective ~ of a wrong done by someone who should have loved him the most.

Reading this brings back memories of my past and as the oldest I use to get it on my brothers and sister's behalf when they were disobedient. I was always held responsible for their actions. Ugh! But I've grown to learn from those disciplinable teachings really has made me a better person, its funny though I can't say the same for them. Thanks for sharing! :)

Beyond The Shadow (Poetry) - 7/10/2011 12:06:00 AM
Living in Europe and not being an American, I don't know the story. Having said that, I totally agree that the sensationalism that follows any case of this ilk (which I am guessing involves a small child and some kind of a monster)should not be pandered to. We should all, as human beings and regardless of race, keep our eyes just beyond the shadow.
Cat Alley, Manch Vegas (Poetry) - 7/9/2011 11:57:26 PM

Second Best (Poetry) - 6/17/2011 6:28:48 PM
Not a hockey fan and didn't watch, but the papers were full of the crazy things that the idiot fans did.... what a black eye for the city, the team and the sport. We humans are a stupid lot, not counting you, of course.
Nicely penned Susan.
Thanks Dick
Second Best (Poetry) - 6/17/2011 4:32:00 AM
Can't agree with you any more, Susan. Losing to a team that, in that particular series of games, were better, or got the breaks, or any number of things that resulted in coming in second best is no shame. The shame is our culture. Would they have rioted if their team had won? Maybe. It has happened. I think the fans of the Chicago Bulls of the NBA rioted even though they had won. Sometimes rioting is a coverup for criminal activities. Whatever it is, it is shameful, but the world has lost the ability to feel shame about anything. Think Weiner. He isn't/wasn't/never will be, shamed by his acts. Now I hear they are talking a reality television show for the idiot.
Center Ice (Poetry) - 6/16/2011 6:56:20 PM
I don't think the cannucks are losers for certain, they will come back next year...but their fans that went on a rampage and rioted, they on the other hand are consummate losers...ed

Center Ice (Poetry) - 6/16/2011 10:57:51 AM
The Cannucks may not be losers, I know how we don't like for anyone to have to lose anymore, but the fact is they are losers in this game. I think the final score bears me out. But then I suppose I'm just thinking with a Neanderthal mindset.

The Slasher (Poetry) - 5/11/2011 6:24:34 PM
Been there. Took that. Raised in a family where the mother was a monster, father was milquetoast, no wonder it took the kid sixty years to halfway figure things out.
The Slasher (Poetry) - 5/11/2011 5:13:42 PM
After that there's not a whole lot to say.....I do love you...

Prisoner of the Mind (Poetry) - 5/9/2011 8:14:46 AM
Susan, you know I'm a big fan of your work, but this poem speaks of a much bigger story, which I sense you have yet to write. If my take is even close, I believe you’d be doing yourself a favor to take the time to write it, even if you never share it. But then, who am I to say.
Thanks for all you’ve offered in all your postings. I just love your work.
Dick

What a poignant write this is, Susan.
Incredible despair accompanies the feelings of abandonment for a child.

Is God Green? (Poetry) - 4/30/2011 11:51:17 AM
Well, He promised me a new body---like His glorious body---so I don't think I will become a fetus again. (Once was enough; that birth canal is not a happy place. :( It was a rough ride!)
It's an interesting idea, and again, a unique poem, but it's clear from Jesus' own words that those who die "in the Lord" will be with Him, and I don't want anything less!
The Golden Nugget (Poetry) - 4/30/2011 11:46:51 AM
You have given a very unique perspective on the royal wedding. Nice work!

Sorry girl, No snow here in south Florida.... My muse can't use that as an excuse, but there is still nothing new pouring out of my pen. Wish I could offer you more support, but we all have to face our Demons.

The Woman In The Window (Poetry) - 3/19/2011 6:00:59 PM
This is such a gracious poem, with lingering thoughts of the woman in the window waiting, and waiting, and . . . for what? Not a suitor of course, no, she is waiting for the precise time to play that one particular song.
I loved this poem, Susan.

Susan thank you for sharing, it's true - we are born pure with not pre-thoughts of any other human being other than sharing, and caring. We hope that others share our special treasure, and we depart seeking that last gasps of pleasure -that we call love.

Well done Susan. I think the man should read this in the plane. The whole world must support the Egyptian people who fought for freedom and ultimately gained it. But they should not let it slip off their hands. Thanks again.

Easily said, I know, but it's the thing to do... For all of us. We know it, but what would people think???? And if we all did, where would this world be? Not a pleasant thought, but neither is what we're facing now.
