Forever Young (Short Story) - 3/21/2007 3:51:51 AM|
This poem reveals your soul...and I feel that is what writing is supposed to do. You show a quiet wonderment about yourself, yet in the end your true character is revealed in your proclamation about the final chorus. Bravo on a showing to us what I think is the real Barbara Carraway. Very well written and thought out, especially the rhyme scheme.

I enjoyed your very original poem. I clicked on it because I wrote a short story with the same name, Forever Young.

This was so well written. The metaphors are vivid and easy to understand. I know how wonderful it is to find a friend who means that much to you.

Barbara, enjoyed your poem. Very funny stuff. I know what you mean. We stretch and strain muscles we never knew we had. That is the price we pay for keeping all the ( oids ) of our body in shape.

Barbara, thanks for the laugh, but don't give no matter what you do. Be here tomorrow and then I can come back and laugh some more. Bill

Thanks for the chuckle, Barbara.
I just started a new exercise program. I now try to sit upright while I watch TV. It's tough, but I'm hanging in there!

In 4 weeks you will be in such good shape you won't believe it. Of course, during those four weeks you will think you are dying. [grin] Well done.

We all know that God is there through everyting, but you have captured the essence and true spirt of what Christ can do; give comfort in troubled and sorrowful times. It really makes you think.

Barbara, this is lovely. I don't usually read those themes that are too religious and full of false piety. But your poem is a lovely reminder of the power of prayer when life gives you too many lemons and you can only drink so much lemonade.
A beautiful message and you expressed very well. I enjoyed reading it.

You have really hit the nail on the head with this one. It reminds me of my own kids, and how on certain days things remind you of when they were young. Such fond memories. Thanks for the reminisce.
