The Graveyard (Poetry) - 7/29/2012 8:44:52 PM
I actually love graveyards ... I think there is something that grabs your soul and takes you to those places of long ago. I always feel at peace when in one.

Jack (Poetry) - 7/29/2012 8:40:45 PM

Jack (Poetry) - 6/4/2012 11:53:34 AM
I don't know Jack. But if I did, I would tell you that I enjoyed this little bit of wordplay, so if my friend, Jack. But then, Jack's dead, so what does it matter. Ron

Questions Of Love (Poetry) - 6/1/2012 3:11:37 PM
One of my favorite styles of poetry: all questions. Melodic write of substance that contains enchantment within all the questions. ~~ Diana

The Graveyard (Poetry) - 6/1/2012 3:07:19 PM
This carried all the blanche and prickle of night and imagination being bigger than life. I especially like "Shades of black.." "...hurried towards the instinctive light." Sound was a character in this scene, and very profound was: "But these foes .../And borne of my mind." "Eating my spirit," so fitting for the devourment of a graveyard. Remarkable effect does "..faceless names.." have for me. ~~ Diana

Where Did All The Children Go? (Poetry) - 6/1/2012 2:55:35 PM
Stinging. One of my greatest weaknesses recognizes that it is others' too. Delivered with grace and brute truth, received with sad reverence. Thank you. ~~ Diana

Chira - Memories Of Lost Love (Poetry) - 5/2/2012 7:03:17 AM
I find this poem intriguing, because I hardly ever see anything that refers to my name "Chira". I pronounce it (Shir-ray), it was given to me by my father and I am forever thankful that he gave me such a unique name. It was nice to see it used in a poem. How is it pronounced in this poem?

Benjamin Bear (Poetry) - 8/31/2011 3:52:54 AM
oh my how charming and fun to read

Creature Of The Night (Poetry) - 5/21/2011 5:33:09 PM
That's what night lights were invented for, lol. Sorry I am in a rare form tonight. Loved the poem. And yes, daylight has it's perks!

The Graveyard (Poetry) - 1/9/2011 7:31:41 AM
A well-written verse of the fears we carry within ourselves. Donna

Lost (Poetry) - 1/4/2011 9:17:05 AM
You will never know how this poem speaks to my own heart and experience. Finding ourselves while assumed lost, now that is the experience of those who yearn for real knowledge.

Virgin (Poetry) - 1/4/2011 9:15:57 AM
Heart touching, thoughtful. A lovely pen.

Virgin (Poetry) - 12/28/2010 4:02:18 PM
Makes one wonder. Are you referring to an entire life? Ron

Virgin (Poetry) - 12/28/2010 12:24:45 PM
Beautiful descriptive write.

Questions Of Love (Poetry) - 12/21/2010 8:46:48 PM
This series of interrogatives probes matters of the heart with a skill that separates the surgical precision of veteran poets from say the random inquiries of romantic versifiers. Tread lightly from here on in. You've tipped your hand. This is your tell. But don't worry, we won't all fold just yet. ;)

Questions Of Love (Poetry) - 12/21/2010 7:54:16 AM
Very well done- and we do live with these questions. John

Woman Of Dark Pleasures (Poetry) - 12/8/2010 5:52:06 PM

Romantically put and said.

Woman Of Dark Pleasures (Poetry) - 12/4/2010 1:49:27 PM
Expertly written Michael. Sensual yet tasteful. I could have this on my website and not have to flag it as adult material. More poets should learn to write as you do. I hope she does return. Marcia

Trip - The Mysteries Of Time And Space Part Two (Poetry) - 11/19/2010 8:22:47 AM
I too have pondered time and space. I suggest the last line be followed with a really blistering quote, that throws open the doors to the mystery of time and space you so aptly write about. For some reason Led Zeppelin's Kashmir and ZOFO comes to mind here.

Dreams (Poetry) - 11/14/2010 5:05:54 AM
a dream is intangible until we learn how to touch them ... poem has a nice flow to its dialog ...

Dreams (Poetry) - 11/13/2010 1:18:22 PM
Michael, Very interesting thoughts. Do dreams really have such power over us. I would thing so. Love the way your wrote this. Mary

Creature Of The Night (Poetry) - 10/28/2010 2:01:07 AM
You are so right about the darkness, and yet it's so strange, as everything that was there in the daylight is just as it is in the evening.

Unicorn (Poetry) - 10/28/2010 1:59:24 AM
I remember my oldest daughter's fascination with unicorns when she was a little girl. Beautifully written, Michael.

The Box (Poetry) - 10/22/2010 1:11:38 AM
Michael, this flows well and I love your use of language. Beautiful writing.

My Flock (Poetry) - 10/21/2010 5:26:32 PM
Very intriguing. Sometimes leaders lead because they are chosen, as in the case of Moses in the Bible, not because of their abilities. God used Moses because He chose him, not because he was a great leader naturally. Remember, his argument was that he could not speak well. Your poem is interesting personally because of times when I have been a leader, and have known that the followers were more knowledgeable than I. Old saying, "God uses who He chooses." Hey, welcome to Authors' Den! Connie

The Box (Poetry) - 10/21/2010 12:41:44 PM
your poem intrigues our minds Michael with a beckon to see inside Silver Paisleys & Lockets Vickie

Winter Madness (Poetry) - 10/14/2010 5:03:43 PM
"Winter Madness" is the making of a fine story poem with many twists and turns that leaves the reader in awe... Be always safe, Karen

Winter Madness (Poetry) - 10/14/2010 11:12:48 AM
This is a real busy poem. You gave em too much in one session I reckon.. Should draw it out a little and make their mouths water for more. Maybe space it here and there? All good stuff.

Benjamin Bear (Poetry) - 10/13/2010 11:43:19 AM
A bear poem. Why I never thought of that? The only animal missing from my collection..too late....well written.

The Sea (Poetry) - 10/10/2010 1:28:55 PM

The Christmas Boxes (Poetry) - 10/1/2010 2:15:43 AM
What a beautiful tradition! Although this is a joyous write, its tinged with sadness, when you think about little children doing without on a day so many of them look forward to. But, the true meaning of Christmas comes through, with all those who donate these special "Christmas Boxes!"

The Fox (Poetry) - 9/30/2010 7:36:27 PM

The Mysteries Of Time And Space (Poetry) - 9/28/2010 10:21:34 PM
Your many times I have thought and argued the same thing. And your poem. provokes much and God, in most cases, two very, very separate things.

Music (Poetry) - 9/28/2010 10:16:08 PM
And it's that music that brings the passion and the thoughts of forever.

The Snowman (Poetry) - 9/28/2010 10:14:28 PM
You know, I don't see this as only a "sweet children's poem"...I see it also as a poem for adults. I see it a bit as taking someone or something for granted...loving it when its all shiny and new, and then, just pushing it aside a bit...and missing it when its gone....when it's a bit too late, although you do say that he does have many friend who greet him each day...but it's just how it made me feel. The poem has a cheery and melancholy feel at the same time...and I love the imagery...I can see him standing there so proud, right from the buttons starting to fall off his chest to the hat. Sorry to go on and it's just how this poem struck me!

The Wordsmith (Poetry) - 9/28/2010 8:45:10 PM

The Mysteries Of Time And Space (Poetry) - 9/23/2010 7:59:55 PM
Andy is right as time is a concept, neither real nor unreal. However, space is a reality, the area between two points as a measurement. As for science and God they are two separate entities. Decisions for each to make. Though provoking piece... Be always safe, Karen

The Mysteries Of Time And Space (Poetry) - 9/23/2010 2:40:32 PM
The ancient questions. As a kid I'd fall asleep wondering the same, blowing my mind. The only thing that was a bit of a catalyst was when I found out that time is man made, a point to point reference. So I realised that time is an imaginary concept and does not exist. Time does not exist, other than as a measurement. But ask a scientist to explain, love, the pleasure of music and most of all, Why hasn't Arsenal won a trophy in 5 yrs.

The Prophet (Poetry) - 9/22/2010 9:10:10 PM
