Victory (Poetry) - 6/28/2012 11:15:05 AM
A wonderful tribute to a woman you dearly loved. So sorry to hear that her children did not appreciate that she brought them into the world and raised them that she could.

Sounds like somewhere I've been before. My problem was that everything I thought was coming to me from ouitside of myself was a matter of my perceptions and my reaction.

Dad, Why did you leave me? (Poetry) - 7/24/2011 7:07:47 PM
Scott...
Your description of the loss of your father makes my heart ache. There's so much you want to ask them, so much you want to say, so much you want them to tell you, but the opportunity is lost forever.
Sometimes life can feel so hard...

Monsignor,
this tugs me this way and that
and i expect it's how you are feeling;
that final "I have found love"

Sometimes the river only looks dry, Scott.
Sometimes the heat and wind have just driven it underground
And still it flows.

Well chosen metaphor, Monsignor,
ebbs, flows, rushes, dry spells...
all that a life is spiritually,
physically, aesthetically, artistically.

Bliss (Poetry) - 5/25/2011 1:20:35 PM
Birth, rebirth and sometimes a greater rebirth -- isn't that the essence of life. We are then sometimes blessed during our lives by great loves sent to us by the creator, the essence of love, God.
I wish you well on your continuing rebirth. May you find much love and much enlightenment. Your poem is lovely!
Blending (Poetry) - 1/20/2011 7:47:47 PM

Another Old Soldier (Poetry) - 11/9/2010 9:15:31 PM
Your final line, Monsignor, says what has to be said and what has to be done. If there is no way back, then may the passing be gentle and kind.

Fall often brings hopelessness to the surface. But love is here! Love is there! We may just have to look a bit more intently for it, but it is all around. Reach out and get some! Very heartfelt poetry Scott!

You beat yourself up again, Monsignor, and while I'm a strong advocate of emotional honesty I feel you need to see your worth more, and you DO have worth, and appreciate and treasure it.
With respect,

Yes, Monsignor, you can do it...just don't fight it or question it all the time, and if you look for answers at every turn maybe you're asking too much. Go with it!
