If only our truths could be nurtured--even half as much as those false ideals projected upon us all--what a different world this would be! Touching work.

You are you and if your children choose to not accept you then they have to deal with it within themselves. You are a strong Lady keep doing what you have to do for you.

We humans think we have such power and control, don't we? We usually end up with egg on our faces when we think ourselves 'so superior'... very good poem.

It's always difficult to understand that of which we know nothing. Only the willingness to educate ourselves can change that. I pray that time heals the wounds for you and your children.
Brava to you for standing up and speaking out.

Brava! Yes, we sometimes lack the perception and perspective to put ourselves in the correct spot in the universe as we realize it. Nice work.
An Ode to Life (Poetry) - 4/16/2004 8:22:47 PM
I am not really sure if I would (personally) consider this a poem. That said, however, your life journey has garnered my respect. I enjoyed reading the content of this Ode. I wish you -- and others who have made such a life choice -- success in your quest for legally recognized human equality wherever you may go.

A piece of dirt! How fitting! Great poem. I liked it.

Truthfully, how many people ever REALLY understand each other? They will have to learn to deal with your sex change whether they like the idea or not. Nobody should be able to dictate how other people live their lives, at least not in a free society. Congratulations on doing what you felt you had to do.
