Thank you, Jason, for your message, thank you for reading me! I didn't vote for President Obama. Gotta be honest. But: he is my Commander in Chief, and do pray for him to do right by our nation. For all of U.S. Not just the rich, but all of our citizens. Especially our Veterans, who give us the right to be free, to vote. Amen? An excellent write of anticipation and I hope, government FOR the people, BY the people. Well done. (((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

So much positive passion here in this verse that must heal this divided country in its diversity, where "We the people" again become part of our government.

Uprgrade the Red, White and Blue (Poetry) - 3/13/2009 4:54:34 AM
I think given time he will be able to conquer the divisive nature of American politics. These will be lean and hard years for quite some time but Barack Obama has given us all something we haven't had in many years. He's given us hope. Very nice poem Bill

I Want To Succeed (Poetry) - 3/12/2009 8:00:59 PM
You have a great outlook on life and telling it here and expressing it was really a great challenge for you to do. Keep up the great thinking and your spirits high and look toward a better future in the good old USA.

Uprgrade the Red, White and Blue (Poetry) - 3/12/2009 7:58:52 PM
My deceased hubby Tom loved the colors of red white and blue and was very patriotic. I just wonder and so does my Doctor what he would of thought of Obama. Tom really died Aug 17 07 and did not see much of the election coverage and before things. I know he woud of felt honored to be able to vote for Obama though had he lived for that day.

The story behind your poetry goes deeper than what each line says. I had to read it over to get the full effect and I love it. Everyday there is an issue that one must face. Either you can take it head on, get beat up, or forfeit the challenge like a chump. I need to take your poem into consideration.

Show Love (Poetry) - 6/15/2004 12:48:40 PM
Right. But what, if we show love and get turned down because somebody does not want it? That hurts and makes you doubt Nevertheless, love your lines.

Excellent write. I actually think this works. If we keep repeating that the new day will bring us more joy, more luck, more happiness, less pain, less problems - we will eventually reach a stage where we can make this happen. Positive thinking !

The 11th of September (Poetry) - 3/8/2004 11:03:00 PM
Impressive work here. I have debuted here two years ago with a 9-11 poem -- an epic of sorts. This is a good one much the same -- you should combine this one with "America" because you got yourself an epic.
