The first part was good (beginning). I tkink Miss Edna was stupid for not giving the money. The ending seemed change the subject and surprisingly pulled everyone together.

I really like this. Great story on the surface, with even bigger messages under the surface for me. What I notice quite often while I'm having a smoke is the people around me who are screaming the loudest about my smoke are doing thing that are much more dangerous to their own health and the safety or health of everyone around them.

this is so true. i don't smoke (MUCH; ONCE in a great while, i'll have a ciggie, but only if i am EXTREMELY STRESSED, but that is the ONLY time! my twin sister, howeever, DOES smoke!), and i have noticed certain things i haven't noticed before having a smoke. good write, enjoyed!~ (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in texas, karen lynn. :D

I thought it was great. Light-hearted and entertaining. Grandma Lucy can teach young women a lot. She really had it going on. Everyone's later years should be peaceful years. Kudos to Grandma Lucy!

Fine poem. It's always best to forgive and let the onus be on the other, hoping you'll find empathy in their hearts eventually. At least you will have done the right thing.Unforgiveness is a slow spreading cancer.

When a person is haunted by things they can't seem to let go of, it not only disrupts their lives, but all that care about them as well. Hopefully somewhere in that darkness, will be that one glimmer of light that manages to catch his sight.
