The Insignificant Penny (Book) - 9/10/2011 10:36:05 PM
I have only just read “The Insignificant Penny” and I remember with a smile what Sunnie Day said on Novelty Fiction. “One of my favorite things to do as an author is to construct a story in which an object is given a life. It takes a life of its own.” Knowing this, I understand better why the simple tale of this American penny has astounded me so. Sunnie does make it happen: life into a non-animated object; this is ridiculously good and such a fun read. I time-traveled on different continents, met people, fell in and out of love in seconds; together with the penny I went about the world and witnessed man’s folly just like his tenderness. Right up until the end I followed “The Insignificant Penny” and smiled with a tear coming up my eye. This short story is a must read because it is fresh, tender, funny and told brilliantly.

Oh dear..You know Sunnie, you are so talented with your writing..So much emotion here. When you can draw the reader into your feelings, that's tops......I loved this and it drew me in totally. I felt brokenhearted for the guy and somewhat angry at the lady with the Cartier pen........Perfect in every way.. God bless you, Sandy
