The Tragic Tale of Francis Gravatt (Short Story) - 12/8/2012 9:25:21 AM|
A sad story to ponder. Somewhere in there I could see some of my days of youth mixed in with the hint of the tragedy. Thanks, Richard

Too sad, probably too common as well. Nicely done.
The Old Neighborhood (Short Story) - 10/15/2012 6:23:17 AM
Fine story, Bob - I grew up in a town much like that and enjoyed the tour. And I never got through Tenderfoot, either.

Well penned to produce an exciting read.
Tet (Short Story) - 5/13/2012 5:20:38 AM
Nicely done, Bob. Grenades in the water reminds me of nights in Na Trang Bay, trying to sleep. One broke loose an air conditioner hose
and water sprayed a signalman. He woke up screaming 'torpedo, torpedo' ... not surprising, I suppose. We were all hallucinating half the time. Thanks ... I think.
Hoppy (Short Story) - 1/15/2012 9:00:28 AM
a sad truth for many lives...the embrace of what love (may) hold, cloaks an unspoken reality. interesting story-thanks so much for the read.
Cora (Short Story) - 12/18/2011 5:12:55 PM
Very poignant story, Bob. Really like the way you sprinkle the song lyrics around. Strange how a brief romantic liaison like the one you describe can linger forever in a man's memory.
Pop (Short Story) - 12/4/2011 5:35:56 PM
as the process of how the mind works...your Pop, actually reminds me of my husband...always ready to conquer business with some quirky 'better mousetrap'- a fun read! most important...to have memories of having a dad!
Devilís Bend (Short Story) - 11/30/2011 11:33:15 AM

The Blue Collar Blues (Short Story) - 11/12/2011 9:36:24 AM
it is funny the things one looks back upon and remembers...what strikes me often is how differently we each can look at the same situation...sometimes.

Interesting piece. Got my attention. I've always found the history of the United States Navy fascinating, from the beginnings of Don't Tread On Me (a phrase that was given new life by the modern-day Tea Party movement) all the way to Seal Team Six.
