A Letter to a Man I Wish I Knew (Short Story) - 9/20/2007 7:05:31 PM
This was a very powerful and well written story as everyone else has said. And the title is perfect. I'm glad I stumbled onto your site. Larry

Jester Jonathan (Short Story) - 9/5/2007 10:22:28 PM
Tami, I enjoy your style of writing. It's very crisp and clean with a nice touch of edginess. I felt like I was reading the beginning chapter of a possible murder mystery, and was disappointed when I came to the end, because I wanted to turn the page and find out what happened next! It's always good to leave 'em wanting more! :o) Jill C

Whiskers (Short Story) - 8/11/2007 10:39:51 AM
I really enjoyed this. Your lines at the end about looking behind the mask and "a whole lot smarter" were absolutely perfect. Larry

Dear Adoptee (Short Story) - 1/26/2007 9:53:01 PM
This touches me I was given up for adoption when I was 5 months old I found my birth mother in 2005 when I was 40 years old I started searching for her in 1999 and found her in 2005 it took that long because I belive God new when we would be ready to meet. I write aboout her in my pages. I was adopted into an abusive home and I used to blame my birth mother for it but through years of therapy and growing up I found out it was not her fault at all she did what she thought was best for me. I thank you for writing this and sharing about this Tami you have lots of wisdom it shows through your writing. I want to keep track of your new writings so to understand you better thanks so much for sharing this online. Hugs Angela

Whiskers (Short Story) - 1/15/2007 8:30:36 PM
Lovely, Tami. You got my attention and kept me engaged with the vivid imagery of winter, knowing it all too well ... the family dynamic, sensitively displayed. When we got to the end, I truly wanted to know more. What happens next? Any chance of expanding it? It's worthy of it as it's super fine writing. Jerelyn

Whiskers (Short Story) - 1/15/2007 8:24:32 PM

Only Opportunities (Short Story) - 8/21/2006 10:14:55 AM
LOL- Tam I loved your Uplifting opportunities to your every struggle, and being a GREAT role-model for your son too! Amidst all the Chaos, I've been there and I know the frustrations and how they build up! I love how you look at it, as NO Problems ONLY Opportunities! I always say, this motto's So very often to myself and my Daughter (grown now) There is a REAson 4 Everything! and in friends, They are a REason, a Season or a Lifetime! and I've had many REason friends, it seemed after the reason was solved, taken care of, or helped in some way - Important to them- it was Over! till next time, but no fun times in between- Hang in - I love seeing the kitty in my head, hangin' off a branch for dear life! Your pOsitive Outlook will get YOU through everything, I feel it strOngly~! My friend~ Love, Light and Peace! WArmly, *She*oxox

Only Opportunities (Short Story) - 8/12/2006 7:20:11 AM
Lol, having read Gram and now this story, you have inspired me to write about my family - well, the love of my life - my five year old adorable niece. God bless, Sandie.

Only Opportunities (Short Story) - 8/11/2006 3:23:34 PM
I enjoyed your story, Tami. I have almost always applied your principle to my businesses, but I can't say that I have consciously applied it to my personal life. I'll try it. In my personal life, I have usually looked for the silver linings after the fact. Your saying--"There are no problems. Only opportunities"--is a much more proactive approach to silver linings. I like it!

Dear Adoptee (Short Story) - 3/23/2006 9:08:52 PM
Tami, I admire you for the courage to do what was right, and for the courage to write about it and share about it now.

Dear Adoptee (Short Story) - 2/2/2006 4:00:51 PM

A Letter to a Man I Wish I Knew (Short Story) - 5/15/2005 3:05:31 PM
God bless you for having the wisdom and courage to post this loving and beautiful story of real love. I sincerely pray that one day your wish is fulfilled and you have the opportunity to embrace your baby boy, though he may be a grown up now. This was a beautiful write.

A Letter to a Man I Wish I Knew (Short Story) - 3/18/2005 4:04:24 PM
Wow, true courage and true love... you did what was best and continue to do what's best... I'm in a similar situation and I often think about it... but I also know, my needs may not be his, but if he ever does look and finds me, I will greet him with open arms...

Somewhere Blooms a Rose - Repost (Short Story) - 3/2/2005 12:56:23 PM
Tami this is very good. When I went to the institution that my mother sent me to, they tried to label me as schizoid behavior, mil impairment. But yet, if I know who I am, and don't deviate from that, there is no schizoid behavior. Being transsexual is to be labeled by professionals who think they have all of the answers. I blamed my mother for many years for hating me enough to put me away in a residential treatment center. But, now I have forgiven her, because maybe she couldn't understand what I needed. I see a therapist to help me through my transition to womanhood, and we talk like we;re friends, instead of therapist and client. Healing is such a wonderful thing, when it is brought about from others who are friends, and not just some one looking to make a quick buck. I see her tomorrow, and I have a lot of things to talk about. But I have healed from my anger towards my mother. I am healing better and better as time goes on too. The love and acceptance I have found here, in in my closest friends and therapist, has made me write poetry like Those Lazy Hazy Days Of Summer (my newest poem). But it must have been hard to live with someone like that, trying to help and then finding out he considered you an enemy too. I hope I never go through something like. And you are right, Tami, compassion is born of pain and suffering, because if we can't see or feel the pain, how can we effectively to even try to help others? This is a very good letter Tami, and as I read this, it did not even bring back any sad memories. Cya in the funny papers. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love, peace, & (((HUGS))) ... Barbie "If I have to...Then I may as well be."

Dear Adoptee (Short Story) - 1/24/2005 11:16:34 AM
Hi Tamy, I read your letter and found it very nice and touching. You are right you cannot in any way influence this lady in her decision to give up her child. If she makes that decision, she will feel enough pain over the years without having the added weight of wondering if she allowed herself to be swayed. Pat.

Somewhere Blooms a Rose - Repost (Short Story) - 1/11/2005 12:12:42 PM
A moving expressive account, Tami. Love and peace to you. Regis

Somewhere Blooms a Rose - Repost (Short Story) - 11/13/2004 12:07:08 PM
I hope you never experience that type of pain again. Good luck to you and your writint. From a friend in the den

Somewhere Blooms a Rose - Repost (Short Story) - 11/13/2004 7:52:10 AM
What you wrote is a beautiful example of the true progression of healing a broken heart. When you can go from anguish to compassion, you have come along way on your journey. Great write, and blessings to you as you progress along your path. Michelle

Excellent review. I've read the book also and agree with everything you say. It is also a useful book for someone with a mental illness, or brain disorder is the correct term now. Liz

Movie Review - Madea's Family Reunion (Article) - 4/2/2007 7:02:39 PM
Sounds like an ineresting and contraversial movie...I could see myself watching this movie...I enjoy reading a review before watching movies, I hate to get all excited about a movie, settled in for the night with a hot cup of tea or coffee, a snack, and then BOOM!!! Disapointment hits you right in the face! Enjoyed the review! Blessings, Joyce Bowling

Sexual Abuse - Important Information (Article) - 1/26/2007 10:08:19 PM
Sounds like we have a lot in common Sexual abuse distroys I lived it from under five years old tell I stopped it at 17. I know the hell the prison I lived within myself because I did not know how to express what happened to me. I was 30 years old when I got help now 12 years later I am able to help spread the message that we can get help and we are survivors were not victims. This information you have is very important. Thanks for sharing this I know how hard it is to share things like this but this is what helps us grow and become survivors. Hugs Angela

Book Review: His Bright Light, The Story of Nick Traina (Article) - 8/10/2006 7:29:47 PM
Exceptional book review my friend. One of the things that I most liked about it is that you offered a balanced perspective. You levelled criticism where it was warranted but you also gave praise where it was due. The review has inspired me to read this book because it is a subject matter that is close to my heart. You are always such an inspiration to me. Your talent is huge. Love Chanti

Book Review: His Bright Light, The Story of Nick Traina (Article) - 8/9/2006 8:26:26 AM
Excellent review, Tammy. Some of the books I've read recently too, of prominent writers have also had questionable or sadly lacking editing. It seems all editors can concentrate on these days are nixing "cliches" which are a part of the culture, and whether there are "too many commas." Elizabeth

Nudity and the Internet (Article) - 8/5/2006 5:06:02 AM
I think this article should be read by those companies who are commercializing human life and dignity by luring young men and women into a financial trap that will cost the entire life of a whole nation or nations.

Nudity and the Internet (Article) - 8/3/2006 4:12:36 PM
Excellent article my friend. I agree with all you've stated in this. I too find the internet a useful tool but it is also a den of iniquity and abused by all sorts of mentally unstable people. As far as nudity goes, I firmly believe that while the naked human form is a beautiful thing, it should be afforded respect and honour. I don't believe that people should post their naked images all over the net. It simply shows lack of respect, both for themselves and for others. Great work! Chanti
