Slaves of modern times (Poetry) - 5/6/2007 8:29:10 AM
"The kids are writing new tragedy Baby sitter can not be a mother “Day-care” can not be a daddy" Tragedy indeed. Unfortunately for many in modern society it's a necessity for both parents to work, and for more hours than in past times, just to supply basic human needs. A sad commentary on our times. Unfortunately it is the children who suffer the most. There is the other side of the coin where many pursue careers without thought to anything else. True "jackass slaves" to modern times. I like this poem and agree with the sentiments expressed.

Your curves shape my ecstasy (Poetry) - 5/6/2007 2:02:39 AM

Slaves of modern times (Poetry) - 4/29/2007 10:48:17 AM
Dear Masood, Seems like you hit the nail on the head! Too many who care too less about the issues that are truly pertinent in a family unity. But society has changed so dramatically and values and morals oftentime devalued. A sad but true reflection of where humanity is heading. Very well written plenty of food for thought. Hugs and love Elga

Why don't Women Understand (Poetry) - 8/6/2005 5:30:57 PM
Dear Masood, A most interesting concept, your enquiring mind has crafted an excellent thought provoking poem intricately penned Masood. A question I have however: had it not been for a woman initially admiring a rose's beautiful bloom, would man ever have been intrigued, or stopped to savour its perfume? In savouring its perfume, does man not look closer, and begin to admire the beauty of the bloom? Just an observation :-) Thanks for sharing. warm hugs Elga

Tragedies (Poetry) - 5/26/2004 11:29:29 AM
The sad thing is when two civilizations clash, as did the Turks and the Byzantines, the barbarians and the Romans, the Hindu and the Moslem in India, and the great clash of civilizatoins now occurring between the Moslem and Christian worlds, spiked by U.S. intransigeance in Iraq and Moslem insanities through Al Quaida and the like. I am to the point where I don't see an end to it in our lifetimes, which could be much shortened if another World War comes out of this. You are right about tragedies, but they don't have to be localised. They can be world wide and unstoppable.
