Up in the tree (Poetry) - 1/13/2013 3:30:30 PM
Oh to remember all of the wonderful days I've spent musing in a tree. Good job.

That is so sweet. I'm a cat lover too.

Shall she play rough or sleep for a week?
Now this depends on what cat you have sat where you're at. If its a tiger, I'd let it sleep! Or else it could be you she eats! And we don't want that! Yet if she's small, let her play ball..
Cute wee poem. Could be in Elliot's book! Or the book of Zoe and her pet, Evangeline! :)

Zoe sounds like a typical cat. One way to get her complete attention would be to provide her with some catnip or even a live mouse or bird. You would be surprised to find out that she would no longer get bored and fall asleep.

You can't trust a cat that's always sleeping ... it also means they are scheming new plans.

Cats truly have minds of their own.

I agree. The tree is the place to be. A way to get high on nature get a new perspective on things.

Ahhhhhh...loving this trip into Fall!!
Autumn (Poetry) - 6/20/2012 7:38:11 AM
Autumn is my most favorite season. Thanks for writing about it. I like it when autumn is gentle, as in Indian summer. It's only at Halloween that I want autumn to “let 'er rip.”

it is to bad that the human species history gives you these facts to learn, nicely written.

I have read poems of Vietnamese prisoners held by their own people in the North. These poems are as sparse as the scraps of paper they are written on and a few grains of rice picked from the floor spilled by their laughing tormentors. They focused on food.
I can picture the Jewish prisoners in the camps writing as sparsely from their lack of strength and nourishment to even think grander thoughts.

There sure wasn't many survivors, Evangeline. I'm happy your school is bringing that up. We should never forget the evil that was done on those terrible years called World War II.

Listening to the rain (Poetry) - 6/8/2012 12:20:25 PM
Again, your descriptive words and phrases put me in a sleepy time mood as I read your words. Strange that you would write this poem of rain, because it is raining here in Thibodaux as we speak.
