The Ka, a paranormal Egyptian fantasy (Book) - 7/25/2007 10:07:50 AM|
I am intrigued about Egypt having visited there a few times as well as nearby Israel. Having explored the pryramids of Giza and elsewhere, I find the area fascinating.
When's your next book?
Aloha from Afghanistan,
P.S. Maybe I will look you up the next time I return to Kaua'i.
Good luck to you and keep the faith.

The Tropics: Child of a Storm-Caught in a Rip-Hurricane Secret (Book) - 12/9/2005 4:47:18 PM
I love your book's setting and it sounds like a good read full of tension. By the way...the Ahab scene where his arm flops back and forth will stick in my mind forever. I got a visual on it right away. You know how to put the reader right there 'in the scene'.

Excellent and enjoyable poem, Mary! That's a challenge to pack so much meaning into so few words, but you have pulled it off famously I think!
May your writing touch many, many hearts. my friend.

This is fun. Check out mine called, "Kapu." I wrote it in college just wanting to show how I might sound if I wrote a pigeon poem.
Writer's Block (Poetry) - 12/1/2011 7:23:34 PM
I can so relate to this. It is and isn't a block. Sometimes I go long periods without writing, until I get some type of inspiration and then it all flows. But the block I get as well as the problems in life that arise always lead to better days and poetry. Thanks again.
Naked Night in the Tropics (Poetry) - 12/1/2011 7:17:07 PM
Aloha, Mary. It was wonderful chatting with you and Ronald today. It was such a wonderful experience and I appreciate everything you both had to share. I just read this poem and found it breathtaking with all of its many many layers. Whether from a sensual interpretation or an awakening, or even as a passing poem, this poem reveals so much so wonderfully. Thanks and keep up the words. :-) Richard
Naked Night in the Tropics (Poetry) - 12/21/2009 5:46:39 AM
Nicely done. One can visualize a wonderful night in the tropics.
Florida is not too bad either. However I have been to The Islands a few times and it is special. Where does one go to have this vision?

Writer's Block (Poetry) - 10/29/2006 7:49:45 AM
I tend to have a painter or pastel artist's block. It is a matter of looking at the stool, it being the first obstacle, and forcing myself to sit upon it. Once I have achieved this, then it's on with the headphones and the music does the rest - I am away.
With writer's block, I am new to poetry and so far, I still have a large enough repository of ideas to draw upon.
This list is affirmation that we are all prone to a pen run aground.
