I could also use a copy of this article, if possible, because my English teacher requires us to have three critical resources on whatever book we read as well as a summary of each. So, I believe your article would help me a great deal.

Sunrise (Poetry) - 12/22/2012 8:56:29 PM
It begins it. I have been here before, as I could tell.
For finding: that myself I have reborn
But not seen, is forever to persist
To gather around the seasons of space with the everlastingness of event
With the layered energy as it is made of things.
Into the logical fiber of the tribute: a thought arises
And stays on course, slowly progressing, not done.
By fear: the fear that’s been since forever,
In the same space the inseparable normal good
Being passed through mankind
Came accessible to me: I fade into remoteness
The Pelican (Poetry) - 5/18/2011 5:43:02 PM
Aww,this reminds me of "my" pelican at the Old Fish House, the beautiful yet gawky "Stealy Danielle"!

Thoughtful and eye opening to another point of physical visibility, while preserving the essence of the beginning.

Joyce,
That is SO beautiful!I have just started writing poetry. If you have a chance coud you read one or two, and would be glad for any suggestions. Like I say, I have just started, and I am sure have much to learn. Again- a beautiful poem!Do you have any suggestions for trying to get a traditional publisher? I know it is very hard, but I am going to try. Thanks.
With Love,
Cindy

Corea, Maine Shadows (Poetry) - 12/1/2007 6:16:17 AM
The detail in this poem is fantastic. 'shingled cottage gray with salt', 'the aged ben franklin/simmered with the coats of driftwood', 'as the atlantic roared its pleasure/conquering the mountainous boulders in triumph/like a dali figure balancing the sea on his knee', stood out for me. Loved the poignancy in the final stanza, tinges the piece with sadness and gives a feeling of the speaker yearning for nostalgia.
The Pelican (Poetry) - 12/1/2007 6:11:47 AM
I really like this. Concise imagery and that last line works on so many different levels for the reader. The piece reminds me a lot of Marianne Moore stylistically. Very good work.
Ole House (Poetry) - 5/19/2007 7:44:19 AM
Absolutely love this wonderful write and all the images and memories it has stirred inside of me. Being an old sailor who lived my life in Nova Scotia surrounded by and often on the ocean the images of your words soothe and comfort me. Very nice.

The Model (Poetry) - 12/9/2006 3:20:26 PM
Very subtle fear here as well as contrasting images of light and dark, readers must form their own ideas as to what has caused the model such fear and angst. Well done

The Model (Poetry) - 12/9/2006 10:12:01 AM
Quite a psychologically and spiritually engaging work. Sheds light and shadow on the sometimes complex relationship between artists and models.

The Model (Poetry) - 12/9/2006 8:51:16 AM
Interesting piece...a view of the woman as a model with the artist purpose well entwined between the two and their purpose of display...very nicely expressed...
