Super Glue Follies (Short Story) - 10/28/2003 10:01:41 AM
Wow! My super glue story doesn't compare to this! My son put super glue on his face (he thought it was lotion) when he was 2 years old and his chin stuck to his neck and his fingers to his cheeks. Nail polish remover to the rescue!
Thanks for making me laugh today!

Mommy: Finder of all that is lost (Article) - 1/31/2004 2:24:54 AM
I can so relate to this. My daughter is 16 now, but the clothing thing is still there. I no longer fold them and put them away, I figure she can do this, so I leave them in a clothesbasket, designated as the clean clothing basket, (folded, just because) and she's supposed to put them away. Too many times, when I've gone to get her basket of dirty clothes, I have found the same clothing I folded, the previous week, at the bottom, never having been removed from the basket. I want to pull my hair out. Now, they have to be washed all over again, b/c she's put dirty clothes on top of the clean. The only solution I found, is for her to do ALL her laundry herself. She is 16, after all. I had to cut the apron strings sometime, didn't I?
Funny article, Angela.

Fee Free Robbery (Article) - 11/28/2003 2:59:16 PM
The problem is that this type of thing slides right past two regulations that the Federal Reserve has because they haven't really changed their laws to accomodate this type of practice. I know there aren't any state laws that can help either. The main focus here is if enough people get tired of paying these fees, and we all get together or get more public awareness than may be we can get some laws changed to at least put a cap on the fees charged or make overdraft privilege an option that people can choose and not end up with by default.

The only thing you might want to check is some state banking commissions have no regulations which could be another drawback and get you nowhere. Don't be surprised if that is the case since I have knowledge of my state's regulations and there are none. I could not believe Arizona has no regulations on banking issues.
It is a ripoff and I understand your frustrations. Great article!

LOL!!! How true, how true, Angela!! But men are just as bad. Don'tcha just looove it when they ask where the aspirin is, standing nose-to-shelf in front of the bathroom cabinet - and the darned bottle is a booger away from his face?? Grr!!
Jules :)

Nice thought and poem, but we have more than one chance in the working world. It's not so final, unless you die the next day.
