Bare Feet Bare Soul: The Philosophy of a Rose (Book) - 3/1/2007 6:06:30 AM
though i'm not normally one for the sappy-dappy i'd have to say i loved this poem. the imiages it brought to bare were of fresh love, when things are still quite perfect in the eyes of the young. i'm sure if the rest of the book is this good it will do great. check out excerpt from my up coming books Reflections of a Dark soul, and sifting through the sands; coming soon.

Just A Kiss (Poetry) - 2/22/2011 9:25:05 AM
Love it! Gentle, sensual, nice imagery. In my mind, that's the way a kiss should be--a kiss that leads to tender love making because one loves, not because one just becomes aroused. A kiss must come from the heart first before the tongue! rege

A Thief In The Night (Poetry) - 8/4/2009 10:29:27 AM
Your imagery of "a warm liquid calling card bathing the victim in cold comfort" is spot on, whether it be from this terrible child abuse described, or the products of self-hurt. I've neither done nor experienced either, but I can take on a character's role through your poetry. They are achieved, terrible lines of poetry that everyone should hear.

Red for Red (Poetry) - 8/4/2009 10:25:22 AM
Your words weave a complicated story of death, justice, and deep meaning. In every syllable I see an expert trying something new, something that comes so very naturally to her - - - You are a writer by heart, and by choice. Your acute attention to subtle and obvious detail is beautiful.

Sleepless Love (Poetry) - 5/30/2008 9:21:53 AM

Just A Kiss (Poetry) - 1/28/2008 3:08:19 AM
The simplicity of this lovely piece of writing is its greatest strength. I enjoyed the author's dedication to the topic and inventiveness in expressing it to the reader. The flow is open and free, tumbling from beginning to end. The imagery is nearly palpable. I felt as though I were there. Great writing!

Naturist (Poetry) - 3/18/2006 11:23:14 AM
Well I wonder if Adam and Eve had never took a fig leaf what would the world be like today? Have always looked at a person heart as that truly will tell what the person is like for real instead of their body or clothes. As old country boy for sure have done plenty of skinny dipping in my life and enjoyed the natural feeling. Rose glad you found this peace with being natural as your write really shows how and what you found. May you continue grow in life as well as your writing, Opps got little wordy here but you know me LOL. Old Tator here in Tennessee ~~~&&&*** Tommy

Naturist (Poetry) - 3/11/2006 7:26:14 PM
What I used to attribute to shyness and false modesty, I now beleive is just clutching to a sense of privacy denied me growing up in a large family. Old habits die hard. But oh to have that sense of freedom! Envy those who are so at ease with their bodies. You go Rose!

Naturist (Poetry) - 3/11/2006 1:28:52 PM

It's what we call total expression of ourselves, and we should always be willing to challenge and push the norm and accept, to be a total, living human being Very expressive and fluid composition Rose Love Peter

Naturist (Poetry) - 3/11/2006 8:55:37 AM
Avoiding the questionable and shunning the unknown puts one in a box, and they become psychological barriers that prevent one's own personal fulfillment, as well as excitement! Exploring the unknown, the naturist side of Rose's poem lets us free ourselves and try new experiences. Eliminate some of the sameness and routine in your life, that way you won't choose that mythological breakdown if you add a little spice of uncertainty to your life.! Great write, Rose! Keep them coming! Sage

You are only one step away from being homeless. A loss of your job. A divorce. A medical crisis. One day safe in suburbia and then your world falls apart. I know. I've been there. I lost my home and security through divorce and raised two children in poverty. Nothing is black and white. Think twice before you judge another. Thank you for this Rose...Lin

Unifying the domains of life and death. Lead the Way immortalizes time and space at the centre of infinity. Rose, you will accomplish something great bringing yourself into line with this, making yourself The Living Flame as a spiritual director to guide Jeff's soul a way suitable to him, as you knew his goals and you can carry on the path to it. I see now that you perhaps are on a quest inspired by his life. Carry on as his knowledge and teachings allow you to. Sage

Torn (Poetry) - 12/2/2005 3:15:12 PM
Oh Rose my heart and compassion goes out to you for I know how much of a toll it takes watching ones we care about hover on the brink of this world and the next. I recently watched as the crash cart team at my local hospital worked to keep my heart going as I saw my daughter and her mother watching and crying in each others arms. It is a hard thing to know what to pray for but all you can do is pray and know that he knows he is loved, Felix

A most compelling, soul-stirring creation, Rose. I cannot give advice because I would feel exactly as you do. I can just send you my sincere wishes of comfort, love, peace, and strength. Regis

Torn (Poetry) - 11/27/2005 7:36:07 PM
I can understand your feelings, Rose. The thought of your life without them seems like torture, and wishing that they would remain is ignoring their suffering. I say that you pray for their strength to make the best decision and do your best to remove your own emotions from the mix. Easier said than done, albeit, but necessary. The decision is not yours as you already stated, so pray for comfort and strength for your friend and strength for yourself to help them in all ways that you can. Excellent write! Take care, Sherry

ROse, The books of life have many chapters, many stories, and some books are shorter than others. It is the quality of life, not the length that makes them memorable. Letting go is the hardest part to do. Your thoughts and words bring the utmost tribute to your soulful connection. As always, you have touched my soul with your passion. ...Michael

Torn (Poetry) - 11/27/2005 12:39:04 AM
This is class. Written by a lady of faith. Realising what is so tragic about dying? Nothing for one with such faith. For it is like leaving a bad b/w movie. Going to an unbelievable colourful new life eternal. Just say yes to Gods will. He will do the rest. Only you can make such potential grief into a inspirational prayer.. Torn! Yet it is a win win situation when one has such unhesitant, unselfish, and caring faith.

Torn (Poetry) - 11/26/2005 10:55:28 PM
Rose, this is such a dear outpouring of the heart. I know this feeling well, for my mom was in this position. I wanted to let her go to end her pain, but for my own reasons of self...I wanted her to stay. I just pray that peace will be found regardless of the outcome...peace for him...peace for you. Take care...Allen

My heart is sad for you, Rose. Torn is a hard place to be, and thread can't sew death back into life. I just posted a poem about this very same rite of passage titled Everyone Hurts. We have to flush bereavement from our veins and move on. My thoughts and Goddess prayers are with you. Blessed Be. Sage

The Storms of Discontent (Poetry) - 8/8/2005 8:30:34 AM
Rose, very often “we” as mere mortals are reminded of the awesome power of “Mother Nature,” my gifted friend. It is by her unyielding power that allows “us” as so-called “human beings” to create the necessary bond needed to survive her vicious onslaught when she is running rampant. Hopefully it is that bond that allows us to embrace the incredible beauty she bestows upon us each and every day, if we permit that astonishing beauty to overcome her wrath. It always saddens me deeply, whenever human beings cannot form the common affiliation needed that will enable “us” to move beyond that destruction which shows no difference as to what or who is in her way when she unleashes her pent-up ferocity. I enjoyed the read, and I do agree with Tommy, you have a lot of wisdom. Thank you for sharing it and your work. Take good care and be well.

What a gorgeous song of thanksgiving. I certainly wish I'd read this beautiful poem this summer when I was dealing with Hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne. When it was all over, inspite of the horror and damage, there was so much I was thankful for. *The Storms of Discontent* is a beautifully crafted poem with silky flow.
