The mind, the page, the author. A magic combination which you enjoy revealling down under. Beautiful poem. I fully understand why you left the UK. Here in Dumfries its -8 this evening and I have still to walk the dog. To make matters worse, my 24year old daughter has just returned from Oz and its heat. Why don't you send Billy Connolly back home and send me out instead!!!!

I just visited your site and read some of the excerpts from a couple of your e-books. I enjoyed the read. Thank You. I bookmarked your page so I can go back later and purchase of couple of them.
The above poem is lively and the meter holds up well in most places. I envy that because I do not do well with rhymed and metered verse. I can handle internal rhyme in my free verse but it is mostly slant rhyme. I don't seem to hear the beat the same as others do. Ah Well. We must all have our own style.
