My review is in the book! by Peggy J Shumate DDP reviewer but here I get to rate it.... 1 to 10 huh? I gave you a 10 reasons listed below: 1) You gave me a collective book of stories *my fave way to get a book is a bunch of shorts - gives a lot of variety to the author* 2) Stories ALL were incredible but different NOT one related to the other and this was refreshing 3) My fave story was Stick Men - that was such an overdone plot NICELY done Paul... 4) Your writing craft is down to a science and your storytelling UNIQUE--I enjoy reading your work muchly! 5) I Loved the TITLE- RESTLESS SHADES - fit the collection perfectly! 6) The author is adorable *AND* talented! WHOAH! can't beat that. :) so now you know why you ranked a "TEN" on your book.

Hedge of Discontent (Short Story) - 4/20/2002 10:40:53 AM
I personally was surprised Paul Melniczek write with this flavor of penstrokes. Not disappointed, mind you. Surprised. He shadowed a little different sideof himself here. Instead of monsters in closets, storms raging, and little stick people; Paul created a more scary piece although very short, spooky just the same. The Point of View he wrote in was intriguing, the unmasking of emotions from that POV was also unique and sweetly horrorific. Nice job... you wonder howcome a NINE and not a 10 - because I want MORE .. this was one piece I could tell you had a lot more to tell me! *grins* NICE story Paul!
