Struggling at the Gate (Poetry) - 1/16/2012 6:22:44 AM
Wow, I like this. Powerful and thought provoking. There are many struggling at the gate not knowing where to go or what to do. Jesus is there with outstretched hands just ....waiting. Awesome talent you have, joseph. Love this!
Evolve (Poetry) - 9/10/2011 9:25:12 PM
That cheered me up no end! What a happy poem :) Really enjoyed this and how you wrote this in full circle and how the actual visual form coincided with that, too.

"Death is a reclaiming of wholeness" That's beautiful!
Me Myself (Poetry) - 1/15/2011 4:54:29 PM
Sounds like one person is listening - you. And now. . .me. This is a great expression of the kind of unheard aloneness many of us feel.
Unfolding (Poetry) - 1/15/2011 4:51:53 PM
Really good advise - far easier said than done, but good just the same.
God (Poetry) - 11/21/2009 8:59:06 PM

Be always safe,
God (Poetry) - 11/21/2009 7:02:12 PM
Joseph this is so real and has much depth. We all feel that at times and it's nice to know God will throw us a rope. Wonderful write.

I finally see
we are all
boundless in spirit
You provide much substance for reflection in your verses, Joseph. Thank you. Love and peace to you,
Transcend2 (Poetry) - 8/2/2008 9:17:22 AM
I, too, love the "different currents on the same river" reference. That idea is so true. Each one of us has a different method of reaching the same end, with our Father in Heaven.
Nice work, Joseph.

What lies between reality and fantasy? A well penned piece......
Search Light On (Poetry) - 6/3/2006 9:11:13 PM
This one reminds me of my own poem "Life Boat".
But of course, now your life boat is missing and you're lost. Without the lifeboat, you are counting on others for your survival. Hope you'll be saved and will reach the shore very soon.
This is a poem of despair. Well-expressed!

Bridge (Poetry) - 4/26/2006 5:47:27 PM
Oh Joseph this poem is superb and sublime!
Yes, yes the yin and yang of life!
"...the higher we fly
the more we see
the balance between
order and chaos
where one can easily ride
the wave of both sides..."
Truly wonderful and true!! Thank you for sharing a poem of the human heart experience!
Love & friendship
ps - I acquired a little Zen bridge ornament yesterday ... and said I was meant to write a 'Bridge' poem! You did it for me! Thank you again kindred spirit!
Love & friendship

Grow (Poetry) - 7/10/2005 2:42:03 PM
I wish I could find a better way to connect with my friends...seems to me I always goof up somewhere and offend them even though the intention was not there.
It's pretty depressing sometimes...just enough to make me feel like not wanting to do anything...

Grow (Poetry) - 7/10/2005 12:25:13 PM
Unfettered growth leads to severe crowding. Otherwise, a light, beautiful expression.
Denied (Poetry) - 4/13/2005 10:12:38 PM
the sparse style you've chosen only adds to the emotional impact of this poem. well-done!
Denied (Poetry) - 4/13/2005 3:33:26 AM
This has power like The Ring itself, Joseph!! It has that (very much pared-down and poetic!) Tolkien mysticism and yet earthy soulfulness to it somehow, too. Just love your discipline with the sparseness of this write, and yet you say so much and in so many different directions: the mark of good poetry! This seems a "viscious circle" indeed and I can really relate to the "back-turned"-thing... no worse feeling of being "shut out" than that! Can sense the agony and frustration here. Much applause! Homeless (Poetry) - 2/15/2004 2:48:32 PM
I can relate, thanks to an ex-wife sleeping in bed with blokes when I came home, I just walked out, lost the lot, homeless two years, at sametime first wife rings, refusing contact with son, but with determination back on feet, still fighting for son, thanks for the memory, it sure builds compassion and character..
Oneness (Poetry) - 2/14/2004 6:52:26 PM
