We believe in the freedom to read (Article) - 8/8/2009 8:53:30 AM
I think it would be advisable to allow readers the opportunity to educate themselves to what DRM is really all about first, before asking them to sign a petition. There are to many emails out there that want people to sign petitions based only on the authors explanation of the petition. Which most times is not the complete story. This in my opinion is not good. There are to many hate mongering bigots out there in plain site today swaying people in the wrong direction. I know people will sign anything based on their individual opinions, but maybe we can change the opinions of some by giving them all the information so they are better able to make an educated decision on their own...and not just sign something based on what they have been taught by family, education or religion. Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_rights_management and read what DRM is before signing the petition. This will give you a greater insight to what the petition is all about. And I do agree with you most of the time, you have written some good articles... Thank You, Chris the Abducted Alien

A Debt to Doc (Article) - 11/20/2007 5:57:40 PM
You are a story teller. It shows in your graphic work and art for doesn't each tell a story. You don't have to worry about commas. I do and that means I'm getting nowhere. When I write and it flows I don't care where they go. You write very well and I champion Doc with his wise words. I didn't know that he had passed on. God Bless you. Liz

Jill, you are a fine writer and even in this eulogy of tribute to Doc and to your own writing abilities you have proved that. We don't define ourselves as writers...those who read our works do. Keep on track and hurry back...you have a lot of support besides Doc here. Fee

Jill, I'm saddened at the loss of Doc. His presence was everywhere across the den. I'm sure he's honored to know you picked up the pen and wrote. Now for the record. You are one of my favorites and I often give your name out as a resource for graphics. I love your ANTics and expect a holiday edition. For Doc. As all writers, we all struggle with direction. It's part of our creative spirit, I suppose. But the days when we land on one spot and focus, we're dynamic. You're in the right place, right now. Cynthia

Sigh. That was really nice. I didn't know Doc personally, but I think that if you two got along, we would be destined too as well. I wish I would have been on here more often so I could have met him. Well, friend - he's in a better world now. That's for sure. Hang in there - we'll make him proud... :)

I am sorry to hear of the loss of our fellow 'denizen', but I'm glad to see that you are writing again. You always claim not to be a writer, but I can tell you that you are better than many 'writers' I've encountered! I had to snicker at your comment about writing even when you do not have anything intelligent to say, having done a fair amount of that myself. I lost a close friend two weeks ago, and the shock of his sudden death at age 57 still reverberates. It was a wake-call that life is short and we need to cherish our friends and family. Take care, have a happy Thanksgiving, and keep on writing!

I've always wondered what amazing tales a dog would tell, if he could. This sounds like an interesting book, indeed, Jill. And to you, Ed, I sincerely hope many copies sell. The subject matter is topical. God Bless Lena

What a fantastic review! I cannot wait to read it! If it's anything like "Curious Creatures, Wondrous Waifs", (and I'm sure it is!), it is indeed a marvelous read!

I'm very glad you liked it, Jill, and thanks so very much for this wonderful review and your marvelous graphic. And with that last line, my wife is now your biggest fan!

Twelve Year Old's Memories (Poetry) - 1/23/2009 7:57:12 PM
Thankyou for allowing me to see things through your eyes. This brought back memories. It reminded me that television is being watched by more people than we realize. ~Zach

Twelve Year Old's Memories (Poetry) - 11/23/2008 12:56:54 PM
I remember all of this Jill. The news reports then as they are now, are so chilling to the bone. I was 12 in 1960 when John Fitzgerald Kennedy was elected President of the United States. one year later I would be in hell. But be that as it may, my hell could not have been worse than a family finding out their son had died in Viet Nam. The feelings they must have gone through, I couldn't begin to fathom. Thank you for sharing May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love and who love you, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Hello Jill. I read your poem,"Twelve Year Old's Memories". I found it brimming with imagery. It brought back memories that were quite similar. Well done! Please feel free to visit my site here in the "Den".

Remember the same as you. Now another war in progress. Just lost a hometown boy who left a pregnant wife home having a boy to be named after him any day now. So sad, these young men being killed and never to return home to their families.
