Reminds me somewhat of Campbell's type of science fiction, or L. Ron Hubbard.

This is a great book! I am fan of dinosaurs in fiction, as well as adventure and romance. This book really fills the bill. I found the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park to be great, and well portrayed, but the people were lacking. Conan Doyle's characters in The Lost World were much better, but his frog-like dinosaurs are now antiques.
Dinosaur Wars puts it all together, with well written dinosaurs including T-rex, pachyrhinosaurs and megaraptors, among others. Furthermore, the human side of Dinosaur Wars was great. Chase Armstrong and Kit Daniels share an adventure and fall in love (the romance is light, nothing of a adult nature).
The combination of scary, realistic dinosaurs and great characters will make this novel a favorite of mine for some time to come.
