Mary, this is so beautiful. You've captured all of the feelings, the tender love, and written about it in such a way that you pull your reader into the room with you. Excellent.

A tribute to your grandmother. Age is something we all fear, but when we think of an elderly loved one and their wisdom, it isn't so bad.

Beautiful concept, linking generations values and value. As close to poetry as (I can't think of the word) literature is not it, nor fiction). Anyway "My Grandmother's Hands" was a joy to read. Thank you Mary. You persuaded me to join.

You bring memories with this one, Mary; excellent write! Very well done! (But I am one who doesn't care for rhubarb pie, let alone, rhubarb! I'll leave that for you and for my twin sister! LOL)

Young Readers Are The Future (Article) - 8/9/2006 4:16:45 PM
I agree. When I lecture to writers and future writers, I am always amazed at the number of young people in audience and their enthusiasm. One of the first things young people tell me is that there is nothing out there for them, other than their school curriculum.
Very good article.
