Reflections from Shadow : A Novel of the shadow side (Book) - 8/18/2006 11:26:33 PM
I read the first chapter of "Reflections from Shadow" and was so intrigued, I want to know what happens next. Also Malcolm Watts can really write.

Outstanding Poem. Much is said and much is given.

Doll Story: A little girl snowed by who knows what.. Horror (Short Story) - 2/22/2009 8:39:15 AM
Cryptic. What I like most about this one is that I understand parts of it and don't understand parts of it. The writer is clear in his pros but leaves you wondering about the symbolism. I know as a writer that stories like this are often hard to publish (probably because editors are often afraid to publish what they don't understand, even if it's enjoyable), but I, personally, like them the best. Incredible story Mr. Watts.

The Painting: Horror story much loved by my readers (Short Story) - 12/1/2008 1:58:46 PM
Gorgeous work. Not only captures the very tangible allure that accomplished art holds for some of us but provides an exceptionally dynamic tale of paranormal mystery. To quote from THE text at hand: "...sometimes the ambiguous speaks volumes, if only we would listen." It came through loud, clear, and beautifully in THE PAINTING. Thank you for the sharing. Aberjhani

The Painting: Horror story much loved by my readers (Short Story) - 11/26/2008 2:07:47 PM
This is really a great story. I had a lot of fun reading it. It could use some editing, but otherwise, it was very well written. Thank you for a very enjoyable read. Paul H. Kogel

The Painting: Horror story much loved by my readers (Short Story) - 11/22/2008 11:06:32 PM
Excellent story. The psychological can be more terrifying that the actual. An object we all look at on our walls every day, may be the one object of our horror. Nicly done. You may wish to do a little editing as the formating seemed to get clustered when posted. I've seen this happen before, so it's nothing a person can't get past. God Bless Glenda

I am terribly sorry but I did not copy your story at all and to accuse me of such a horrible thing is well..just horrible..I thought of my story all on my own, thankyou but maybe I should take it as a compliment because you have posted so many more stories here than I have but rest assured my story is all my own!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe your stories are beginning to take a life of their own and you are stepping inside...The Twilight Zone...

Q-Paradoxical: Quantum science and poetry combine and collide (Short Story) - 8/14/2008 8:25:30 PM
But Human Beings are stupid. They prepare war, they prepare killing each other, they prepare famine, they prepare innocent children to die, they prepare cancer, and they prepare to poison the world. And because of their beliefs - God, Science and Politics - they prepare to destroy life. If we can only abandon our beliefs we might live again to the meaning of life - to enjoy it to the fullest.

Amazing. I envy those who can write Sci-fi well, as I can't write it at all. You're obviously a master of the word, but I'd love to swoop my eyes back and forth over the text of more Sci-fi pieces of yours. P.S. - you come highly recomended; glad I followed the link on Carol's page.

The domestic auto industry crisis - What goes around, comes around (Article) - 4/18/2009 8:58:34 AM
Lots of good points in this coherent piece. For the life of me I can't understand why any country would restrict the import of US cars if they're as bad as reputed: you make a strong case. However, I think you need to be a little clearer on the cause of uncompetitive wage structures in the US industry. The fact is that manufacturing globally changes automation and cost effective labour. Would it not be attractive for US makers to set up manufacturing in Japan, China and so on? Here in South Africa we've made and exported BMW's for some time. Thanks for a good read.

The domestic auto industry crisis - What goes around, comes around (Article) - 4/18/2009 6:18:28 AM
Well said Malcom. However...Not to worry. Cars emit some of the gases that Obama's people have declared are hazardous to our children and families' health. Therefore, individuals will be banned from owning cars. Only important people and Government officals snd agents approved by the EPA will be allowed to own cars, and those cars will be manufactured in the state owned bus factories. You don't have to worry about your neighbors job either. There will be plenty of work at the state factories for everyone and state decided wages will insure that everybody gets enough money for the things they really need. Haven't you been listening to The Leader and his People?

Why is Ontario shipping garbage to Michigan? (Article) - 4/9/2009 3:21:55 PM

I pray yuo are right. Our new president walked into a terrible mess and tho we all might not agree with some things that are happening , I feel he has this countries welfare at heart and is doing the best he can to make things better. I have long felt we needed a health care system more like Canada's......M

Why is Ontario shipping garbage to Michigan? (Article) - 3/9/2009 7:00:16 PM
MAL - good article & good questions - had no idea it was happening there. bad enough to transport garbage across state lines, but across country borders? can't help but wonder - is the state gov. of MI in on it? or is some private co. secretly making an illegal fortune? about 50 or so years ago, was amazed at the tons of garbage on the NJ side of Hudson, apparently the mass mess from Manhattan? a few years ago, read somewhere that now NYC loads tons & tons of garbage on scows, then dumps them out in the Atlantic - down here in MD just recently, the Save the Chesapeake Foundation head admitted on NPR that their belief 25 years ago, that farming run-off & chemicals were the cause of our bay's pollution - NOW - it is believed to be simple sprawling Over-Population along our shores! all of this goes to show that gov. is only as good as how informed the public is - propaganda & BS has been the rule now for over 50 years! God help us all! Peace, Tom.

I think because in Michigan it won't be notice.

Here come the conservative naysayers in the U.S.. (Article) - 3/3/2009 8:51:05 PM
I hope you're right. The problem is that the US is bankrupt (thanks to Bush), and has already gone cap in hand to Communist China for another overdraft. My prognosis is that the mess is not recoverable and that west has been living beyond its means for decades - thus the HUGE government debt - (what is it the US alone owes now...some 20 trillion dollars I read in one article). Western governments are relying on an increase in consumer spending to drag their countries out of the hole - but how can this happen when consumers are already indebted for years ahead? I fear that significantly lower living standards are headed our way. Good luck Obama - what a time to become president, but as the saying goes, cometh the hour, cometh the man.

Here come the conservative naysayers in the U.S.. (Article) - 3/3/2009 3:09:06 PM
There are those of us in the USA that say, "If you love Obama in Canada, plkease take him, and soon." We believe you are wrong in your assesment.

Here come the conservative naysayers in the U.S.. (Article) - 3/3/2009 1:09:27 PM
MAL - thank you for stating your opinion - I hope that you are right! Both the naysayers and the soothsayers are prime examples of what I refer to as dichotomous thinking. my belief is that both Extremes of any possible issue are always 100 % Wrong! It is the Center, the Middle Ground, where any Win-Win situation occurs. Compromise is normally the answer that allows people to come to agreement and workable terms, especially for really major issues. I bend - you bend - and neither reed breaks in the strong wind ... Time will tell about Obama and his choices of people - on the TV show, the VIEW this morning, Whoopi Goldberg pointed out that - one thing is certain - Bush and his Cronies and the prior Republican majority Congress' FAILED MISERABLY! the new Pres has only had 40 days in office - tomorrow is Ash Wednesday - another 40 days will bring Easter - I pray it is truly a New Dawning! Right or wrong, another totally different tack is both wanted, and needed. Sure, more mistakes will ineviatably made - but hopefully, some GOOD will possibly occur - had McCain and the republicans won - 8 more years of BUSH would have been even more disasterous! Peace - Tom.

Hi Malcom right on - Unfortuntely, there will always be those large corporations who have so much political power turn a blind eye to poverty, ordering themselves big tax breaks instead of helping the willing working poor. These greedy Corporate Executives get such enormous annual bonuses - it’s ostentatious to say the least when they feed their employees crumbs for incentive. My view from Toronto Canada

Respect your thoughts, Malcolm. But our future is beginning to look more Cuba, then Canada. Sharing the wealth is one thing, sharing poverty and starvation is another.
