Is There Life After Death (Short Story) - 1/1/2012 7:20:41 PM
There is life after death and your story happens to many of us - and we cannot understand them but they do happen. I had the same experience with my brother and i know God had a purpose for giving him a second chance at life... to receive Jesus Christ in his heart before his 2nd death.

Why Does God Let bad Things Happen ? (Short Story) - 12/25/2011 6:14:09 PM
It is "only" my perceptions that something is "bad", at least i tell myself this. some "fear" i can not understand...where there is torture and/or extreme brutality, but it is fear all the same. the rest i still look to understand. i know in my persistence i will see the Light.

A Penny For Your Thoughts (Short Story) - 12/6/2011 4:34:03 PM
This true story is precious! I like to relax into the mystery, myself, and try to choose meaning and joy in each experience. You are right about having a message here from above I am sure! (But I'm not sold on the everything happens in three's idea :) ) Blessings, Christine

Why Does God Let bad Things Happen ? (Short Story) - 5/6/2011 3:33:26 PM
God is not real because I believe in Him. I believe in God because He is real! "In the beginning, God....." Genesis 1:1 Connie

Is There Life After Death (Short Story) - 12/13/2010 12:14:53 AM
This is a GREAT story. I know some things - we cannot see hate and we cannot see love but we know that they are with us and these feelings profoundly influence our lives. Who are we to think that everything that is real must be seen? We have proof that this is NOT true but sometimes we are blind to see that God's real plan in our lives is truly invisible to our naked eyes! I guess that is why God provided us with a Bible to help us see truth in plain English. Still, some rather go though life being blind. Amen!

Is There Life After Death (Short Story) - 12/6/2010 3:50:30 AM

The Women In Our Lives (Article) - 7/5/2013 8:56:57 PM
Very nicely expressed words with due honor to the women. I agree with the author, "Women and Men , so different yet so dependant on each other."

Seasons Come and Go an Unusal Comparison (Article) - 2/27/2012 9:35:14 AM
Indeed, I’ve enjoyed the reading of this lovely article; you’ve truly done a great job here, Larry! It has nudged my spirit to say this: We should all be leaving some sorts of legacy, in this world before we’ve departed, yet only by a legacy of righteousness shall souls find rest. Then most of all the other things could just be pure vanity. No wonder it is written in this way: “Fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” Seeing as, in the end, DEATH is sure just as LIFE is real!

Seasons Come and Go an Unusal Comparison (Article) - 2/26/2012 2:59:26 PM

The Women In Our Lives (Article) - 9/2/2011 12:25:03 PM
This is an incredibly great blog. In spite of the challenges with the women in our lives, they're all worth it. Better to have such challenges than not. I'd like to quote something from a great author, writer, husband, and family man you may know: ".... God Bless the women in our lives who inspire us, encourage us, support us, comfort us ... and last, but not least ... ... love us." L.D. Matthews, Authors Den, 2011.

A Christmas Message (Article) - 4/13/2011 7:41:55 PM
I strongly recommend everyone who reads "A Christmas Message" to read the last paragraph two or more times. Jesus' teachings will give you the strength to be honest even if there is no one watching you. To tell the truth regardless of a negative consequence to you personally. To expect nothing in return because you did it because you are grateful to Jesus for dying in the cross in your place. His teaching will help you keep your sanity in an insane world, as Larry puts it bluntly.

I Love Selling Nova Scotia (Article) - 4/13/2011 7:30:53 AM
Hi Larry, Thanks for sharing a bit of Nova Scotia with us. Enjoyed your thoughts, photos, and little paintings. I have not been to Nova Scotia in many years, since the days of my biblical studies in Canada. Nice to be reminded again of it's unspoiled beauty. Thurman

A Christmas Message (Article) - 11/29/2010 5:22:37 AM
Luke, Your sincerity in sharing a little of your life is touching. You have been "through" a lot, notice the emphasis on through. Thank God when so many difficult and heart breaking things are behind us. If Jesus had not come, so many of us could not have come through the things we have. Merry Christmas

Nova Scotia Farms (Article) - 10/23/2010 1:48:15 PM
Hi Luke, I have to get used to calling you that. I enjoyed your article about Nova Scotia farms and the shifts in the farm based economy. It captured my attention because I spent some years in biblical studies in Canada, and had the privilige of traveling to Nova Scotia and speaking to a large convention of young people while I was a student in Eastern Ontario. Glad to know that some re-grouping is taking place by local farmers and the demand for the farm setting by young people who want that kind of life style. Thurman

Is The Internet Good or Bad (Article) - 3/9/2010 7:47:35 AM

Talking About God (Poetry) - 7/9/2015 9:52:37 AM
No need to explain, Luke. We all need to do, work, invent, instruct, compose, sing, dance, show, tell, explore, sail, fly, opine, learn, and become. The rest will take care of itself.

A Man's Best Friend Jessie (Poetry) - 4/26/2013 5:57:21 PM
One of the hardest things to do, but sometimes the kindest, is what you did for your precious Jessie. I've had to say goodbye that way, and oh, it hurt me so bad! But not them, they are freed from their pain, and I know Jessie felt nothing but gratitude that you had the courage to do the right thing for her.

There Is No Magic Pill (Poetry) - 3/8/2013 6:11:19 AM

And I Read A Book (Poetry) - 2/17/2013 8:42:59 AM
When I was seven I couldn't wait to go to the library to read Dr. Seuss. One of the books contained a lesson about how consumption can destroy the earth through overproduction of a good thing. That reminds me of the admonition, “Go forth and multiply.” And so, we are seven billion strong and destroying our earth because we believe in a book. Ron

Thanks Ron

And They Look At Me (Poetry) - 11/25/2012 11:10:02 AM
I just read my twin brother's auto-biography about his cars. When he wrote about the troubles I had with our cars in our teenage years, I had forgotten all the scrapes my father got us out of by being there as a strong figure to overcome the stuff we got into. Having read that, I don't envy your position as the eldest (I am the eldest as the dominant twin) without a father to back you up. I know your mother stuck up for you whenever she could, but a father can have some real clout. Your brothers are going to love this. Ron

A SIMPLE POET (Poetry) - 5/20/2011 6:25:40 PM
Please feel my strength called faith You have to seek to find your own Amen! I look for the signs everyday and I have been blessed with ability, however slight, to see some things before they come. Of course it's always a series that I have to put together like a puzzle but the ultimate ending is how amazing God's message is and if you look closely, pay attention, you will find your signs. They are every where, not the media however. I liked this simple write from the soul, heart and your essence shines throughout. loved it.

A Way Of Life (Poetry) - 11/9/2010 2:22:00 PM
Larry, You vividly portrayed the life of the fisherman. In particular the life of the lobster fisherman, I was right with you and visualizing what you were saying in this poem. I was reminded of some of the episodes of "The deadliest Catch" on TV. But you brought in the sacrifices that have been made and the sometimes sorrowful results of their trips at sea Thank You

SOMETIMES I WONDER (Poetry) - 8/26/2010 12:06:52 PM
I liked the poem, quite thoughtful in it's design. Obviously you took time to really think about this experience called "life". I was struck by the line "faith becomes convincing as we fiddle with life's dials".

Where Does God Go ? (Poetry) - 12/20/2009 12:07:19 AM
Dear Sir...I have held that same question close to my heart for near a year after my wife's passing from cancer. I wondered why GOD forgot me...I wondered why HE did not heed my suplications as I lay upon my face pleading that HE take me, and not her. I wondered whjere did GOD go? I wondered why did HE forsake me and leave me here alone without my love....and I wondered why if I/ we loved HIM as we did....why did HE no longer love me. Why did HE leave me heare all alone...but sir...HE never left, but was only shaping me...thank you for this beatiful pice... Allen
