Some super tips but the last is the best. I do write what I feel at that time is a lot of crap, but months down the line, I can go back and a word here or a phrase there gives way to something really creative.

WOnderful ideas, I have been writing for many years now and have 2 novels partly finished (a divorce and college have put them on a back burner for awhile) I have found that the ideas you have noted in this article are the very ones I had to do to get any writing done. Thanks for validating my own thoughts on the subject.

You touched on some points, Regina, and I agree that POD publishing feels good for the author who likes to take command...I'd like to see a follow-up article in a couple of years.

As a fellow reviewer I can honestly say you hit the nail on the head.
I read one book that was so bad I declined to do the review because I couldn't say anything good enough about it to prompt people to spend the money on it.
I followed the same rules you listed for the last 20 odd years of reviewing.
I hope the readers of this article will read mine on How to Get a Good Book Review.

While these are lovely ideas, in theory, these thoughts or actions will not keep someone from stealing/plagiarizing your work. There are only two things you mentioned here that are legally binding: printing out your work and mailing it to yourself (and remember to save it, unopened) and filing your work in the US Copyright Library.
