We are all the same. Indeed, Fania. If we were to become "one," it would be the end of war and the beginning of healing. God knows how much of that is needed. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and peace to you,

power here in words
the world with their closed, cut-off views and laws
it is mind boggling
a voice that stands up

Stone Me You (Poetry) - 1/11/2007 11:26:31 AM
I always have something to say, ALWAYS. but I am just sitting here reading this over and thinking about the pain that woman felt. As if the act was not enough she then is condemnedfor being a victim. Very powerfully written piece.
HAITI, DEAD or Alive (Poetry) - 1/4/2007 1:36:09 AM
No child i remember
her drums play music in my ears
no child i can taste her
in dreams in flight with wings
no child i sit at night sometimes and listen to her wails
her sounds flip my wrist and put fire under tails
yes she is my mother and i swim still just
can't catch my breath
i willlove her mourn for her until
my very last breath.....
for she is alive and will be again
thank you for this most powerful moment in time!!!
World of Differences (Poetry) - 1/2/2007 9:46:39 AM
Fania, another beautiful and powerful piece of poetry. Although the words inspire one to believe in the possibilities, it also awakens the same one to look within her/his-self and truly see the world especially his circle, for what it is. if more would look within this world would indeed draw closer.

Aside from the historical reminder this is a poem that harbors power between the lines. With the slight repetition, you brng home the message you were going for, and still have humanized through your words a very clear voice.

"We were all sinners" sums up this write quite profoundly. "For all men have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God" "There is none righteous, no not one"
Efforts such as you speak of here Fania will never go unrewarded. Keep dreaming and working towards what the Holy Spirit has placed in your spirit. We are in these days for a reason. Stand Strong! Excellent write!
Light and Wisdom ...
