The Knight and the Dragon (Short Story) - 12/13/2007 12:59:00 PM
I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS STORY. I LOVE YOUR WRITING STYLE. THE DETAILS THAT YOU INCLUDE, IN YOUR STORY , ALLOWS ONE TO VISUALIZE YOUR CHARACTERS. GOOD LUCK, I CANT WAIT TO READ MORE OF YOUR WRITINGS.

That was a great story. Poor wee squire lost to the wandering battlefields of time.

I good dramatic story with a strong moral center. It's only weakness lies in the fact that it is presented through the eyes of a narrator (unseen observer) who talks about "the knight" doing this or that. Instead, the writer should enter the more intimate POV (point of View) of the knight himself. We should get inside the knights head, look out through his eyes, feel through his senses, and think his thoughts. Instead, we stay an arm's length away and watch him. Also, information is dumped into the story to explain things by the narrator, instead of being worked in more naturally, more subtly. Reducing the narrator presence will make a better story: less is more. The "green knight" concept itself proved a most excellent vehicle for the writer's message. And I did enjoy the reading, minor quibbles aside.
