Weatherbury Farm (Book) - 8/11/2001 3:12:20 AM
Written in the style of Thomas Hardy taking the story of Bathsheba and Gabrial Oak towards the end of the ninteenth century. Very faithful to the Hardy's original work and very readable. As I live in Dorset myself I view this a major work to compliment Hardy's works on Wessex. The characters are very well created and believable, leaving you wanting to read more about them. The refreshing style was very much enjoyed and i look forward to more work from the author. Not just a book for Hardy fans though, this is a complete and fascinating story, creating the times and atmosphere. Recommended reading for all ages.
