Such dedication, the poet's soul revealed, that second line is great, i think it would make the great title and subject of a poem in itself. Glad to read you again.

Do you write stories, too? This is also well-written.

What is it? (Poetry) - 8/15/2006 10:39:14 AM
Hopefully yourself-love short ones like this, people tend to say so much more when they stop overthinking, good stuff.

Are you happy? (Poetry) - 8/15/2006 10:38:16 AM
It's funny how something with the word Happy in the title can be so sad, I know, that's the point, but it makes me worry about the person in the write, too much about others affecting their happiness when it is really in their own hands-very thought-provoking-

LOVED this, this one is perfectly tight. Why aren't more people commenting on your work when most of the other stuff on here is full of shit??

This is excellent-if this is a song, I'd love to hear it-it's great to read someone who has such energy and depth.

How we used to be (Poetry) - 8/15/2006 10:31:43 AM
I love the direct lines of this poem, but the last line feels off balance with the rhytym of the poem-i find myself rereading it-just me, probably-almost like the two previous lines are the last because this has the melody of a song and flows so well till that point, not rhyming, but similiar sounds-excellnt work.

All artists have failures and disappointments. Its not the victories that we learn from, it's the suffering. And the honing and polishing of who we are, and will become, comes with perseverance and dedication. I played in over 33 professional bands, traveled all over the world, owned my own Acoustica/Electronic recording studio. I have walked and lived on the path of suffering as an artist. It's ggod to cry, it's the way we cleanse ourselves and move on. This was a poignant write - one I related to. Kudos ... Richard Lloyd Cederberg
