RB: The Game (Book) - 5/3/2003 5:05:41 PM
It was about time that I could finally read the ending to this amazing story. I feel as if I was drawn into each characters lives and they have become some of my closet friends. It never seized to amaze me the "trouble" they could each get into. This was one of the best books I had read in a good while. Great Job for the both of you! I can't wait till the next story is unleashed.

RB: The Game (Book) - 5/3/2003 5:02:33 PM
This was one of the best books I had read in a long time. It drew out all of my emotions, ranging from sadness to rage, compassion to heartbreak. I felt as if I was in that time period, it brought me in were I could almost smell the sea water. Wonderful Job! Bravo to the both of you. Looking forward to the next adventure.

RB: The Enchantress (Book) - 3/31/2003 7:56:45 AM
After Captain Black's ship is demolished and he is left for dead, Aubrey Malone finds herself on The Enchantress with Captain Mala, Captain Black's long lost love. If she thought she had it rough before she was surely mistaken. She would have to prove herself to Mala and this would begin by convincing her that nothing had happened between her and Captain Black. Just when it seemed things were getting better, Captain Black re-enters the picture. Thus begins her journey of trying to save herself from Captain Black and his crew again... Excellent! Excellent! Hard to believe that a second book in a series could be better than the first, but this book blows away the first book of the series RB: The Widow Maker. It seems that the authors have found their niche and have expanded the already powerful writing abilities they possess...A must read for men and women! Hurry with the third book in the series!!!

Who says that a romance story canít have swashbuckling action?! Certainly not C. C. Colee with this cleverly written look at pirates and love in distress! A ruse of kidnapping, the entanglement of jealousy and the threat of revenge -- explosive adventure on the high seas! Donít miss it!

RB: The Enchantress (Book) - 8/20/2002 9:02:44 AM
The story continues and so does the intrigue. I have had the opportunity to read the first edition in this trilogy and have continued with the story until this point. I have to say that this is by far the most enjoyable piece of literature I have read in a long time. I truly became part of the story and the emotions I had throughout the book were a testament to that fact. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in being swept away.

RB: The Widow Maker (Book) - 7/30/2002 6:39:01 AM
This first book of the trilogy was absolutely wonderful! It was as if the two women who make up the author C.C. Colee was sitting before me and telling me this story. You know how you will sit in a movie theatre and laugh or get teary-eyed or let out an "oh no" because of something happening? Well, you will definitely have those moments with this book. From Aubrey's escape from her uncle to falling into the hands of pirates and feeling all of her emotions, you will be doing all those reactions. I can't wait to see what happens next in the second book, RB: The Enchantress!

RB: The Widow Maker (Book) - 3/29/2002 5:48:53 AM
I felt a bit seasick at times while reading Widow Maker. That is a high compliment to the co-authors who make up C.C. Colee, the ones who penned this well written seafaring tale aboard a pirate ship. Main character Aubrey sums up her plight in life when she says,"Why did I not stay in England? Perhaps a fixed marriage would not have been quite so bad after all." She refers here to running away from an oppressed existence and ending up on the pirate ship Widow Maker. But readers, don't fret; she also adds, "If only one of them had been half as handsome and dashing as these two here." The reader will be exposed to French speaking passengers, hopeful paramours for Aubrey, and shipstyle living. The voyage only begins in this book, with two books in the trilogy to follow.Good job, authors!

RB: The Widow Maker (Book) - 2/26/2002 12:38:21 PM
I initially read this book as a friend had written it and asked me to read her book. I wasn't sure what I was in for, as I love to read and get lost in a story, but I get bored easily. I have always been interested in the many pirates that ravaged the seas, so this book peaked my interest. I have spent many a summer at Cape Hatteras, a haven for pirates. So I have wiled away many hours dreaming of pirates and their escapades. The story is well written. It not only moves along at a brisk pace, but peaks your interest over and over again. The combination of the dreams of a young lady and the adventure of the high seas has been captured quite well. The young lady finds more than she is prepared for when she plots her escape from her enterprising uncle. She is helped to board a ship, and unwittingly sets out for the adventure of her life. The allure of a romance with a dark and handsome knight( i.e. pirate), who doesn't ride up on a white horse, but on a sleek ship, nets her heart . . . or does it. I was truly impressed with the research that had gone into the writing of this book, as the history of era as well as the black guards of the day were impressive, yet was woven into the story in such a way, that you were caught up in the moment. Great read, hard to put down and can't wait for the next in the series.

Looking forward to the next book! This book was one that had characters that you could relate to. In my reading, I felt like I was living right along side of Aubrey and I was on the adventure with her. This is a book that I am definately recommending to my friends who read and I am looking forward to the second and third books in this trilogy.

Adventure and Romance It's a book full of high tension and adventure. I was swept along as Aubrey set out on a new life. The story is as wild as the sea with as many twist and turns as waves in the sea. The pirates strike fear in your hearts and have you looking around when you visit the sea side.

RB: The Widow Maker (Book) - 2/12/2002 11:06:23 AM
After reading but only a few chapters of "WIDOW" I knew it was one of those books not to be put down. The story line keeps the reader interested as to the outcome of various situations, from England to Bimini. Though fictional in character, this work shows a huge amount of research done, to be as accurate as it is. The series is one that all whom are interested in the sea, pirates and history will want to have in their collection. I eagerly look forward to the release of the ENCHANTRESS, along with the final one, "?" . Keep writing, there's more to write regarding the history of the buccaneer's way of life.

What a delightful journey to take.....I was enthralled to 'accompany' Aubrey in this adventure...the things she saw, the experiences she endured, and the feelings she had as they unfolded. Chris and Cody did a wonderful job of keeping you spell-bound as you turn the pages, wondering what was in store for Aubrey... I found myself going from holding my breath, to letting out sighs of relief. I could 'hear' the creaking of the ship, the lapping of the water, and clap of the sails! I can't wait to take the next adventure!

Excellent Reading! RB: The Widow Maker was very interesting to read. It is written in a way that allows your imagination to make you think you were a part of the story. You had the sense that you were there watching as events took place. Just as you thought you figured out where the plot was going, it took a turn in another direction which makes the story more interesting. You have to keep reading to find out where it is going next. Very well written. I highly recommend it and look forward to the reading the continued story.

Pirate Pleasure!! I thoroughly enjoyed this first book by C.C. Colee and heroine Aubrey's adventures on the high seas. Filled with swashbuckling action and romance, in a pirate setting, the story pulled me in and left me looking for more. I am eagerly awaiting the next installment of the promised trilogy!

Finally bought your book from Barnes and Noble. It was worth the wait! I found it very imaginative, easy reading. Knowing Cody as a 'sister' and friend, have watched this from the beginning and knew the gist of the story. Now I can't wait for book #2 to come out. I'm very proud of you for this wonderful story. Normally, don't read adventure/romance type stuff, but enjoyed the story immensely. (Just ask Larry, if you know what I mean.) Congratulations to both of you. Hope you have continued success.

My co-workers talked about this book so I had to check it out. Once I started, I couldn't put it down. It was so full of action that I forgot my surroundings. What the characters felt, I felt. I could have sworn I was standing right there feeling, seeing, hearing everything!! I knew it was the beginning of a trilogy when I started but I still hated to see the adventure end. Three words I hated to see coming---To Be Continued. C.C. Colee, I'd pay you good money to give a hint of what happens next!!

RB: The Widow Maker (Book) - 12/12/2001 2:08:51 PM

Well ladies, I must say, once I picked up the book and started reading it, I could not put it down. I can't wait for the next volume to come out. It has been a long time since I read a book that held my attention to where I had to take it everywhere I went. This is one of those books where you "don't leave home without it". Keep up the great work.

RB: The Widow Maker (Book) - 9/13/2001 12:50:23 PM
The captured soul of Aubrey Malone and the darkened life she was forced to live, kept me reading until the very end. It was one of the most intriguing books I have read in awhile. I had to keep reading to see what would happen to this poor "captured-child" of the sea next. Lost identity, lost life and lost love, what more could she possibly endure. I'm ready for the next adventure.

I am writing for my sister and myself with regards to this delightful book! C.C. Colee is to be commended for their wonderful talent at gaining and keeping your attention! From the very beginning of this book, the reader becomes immersed in the plight and flight of young Aubrey Malone. Her experiences with the pirate captain and his crew are tense, frightening and humorous. I found myself setting apart the characters I liked, loved, disliked and loathed. Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down. To know that RB:The Widow Maker is just the beginning of this delightful saga, I must say to C.C. Colee and to Publish America---PLEASE!!! Give us the second book and the third one too as soon as possible....I can't stand the suspense!!!
