Deep Down It's Them That's Strange (Poetry) - 10/16/2012 2:27:47 AM
I remember when my son came home with his first black eye ... I was horrified at the fact someone wanted to hurt my child. The same emotion comes through with this poem. One can only hope that one day this stuff will not be a part of our world :-)

My best to you sweet friend, Love, Tay

Two States Of Mind For One (Poetry) - 8/18/2007 3:42:26 PM
Missed you and this poem is just one example of why. Simple words built into complexity that stimulates my mind of what was, what could be and what is. Excellent. Liz

Two States Of Mind For One (Poetry) - 8/14/2007 3:08:51 PM
The imagery in the first strophe is so real to me I felt as if I could have been the protagonist at one point in my own life. Yes ... for awhile in my twenties I used to be a manipulative self-deluded jerk! The reality (#2) is a picture of someone who has gleaned strength and wisdom from the struggles and has not given up. Bloody excellent dear Panda. Welcome back! Blessings ... Richard

Two States Of Mind For One (Poetry) - 8/14/2007 3:01:26 AM
So glad to see you back at the den, you are missed while you are away. This is a powerful and profound write, yes I think we are all guilty of this...much as Felix stated we often say one thing when deep down we mean another, sometimes out of fear, sometimes out of respect, and sometimes just because....I'm not really sure, unless it just seems easier or maybe it causes less pain...nevertheless this is a well constructed offering my friend, one that does linger on the mind of the reader...welcome home... Blessings, Joyce B.

Two States Of Mind For One (Poetry) - 8/13/2007 9:56:42 PM
Our souls allow us to write compelling poetry when we rise above and beyond the wounds. My gosh Panda, I feel so aligned with your thoughts and revel in your strength and revelation. It is so strange that you were on my mind today...so much so that I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when, almost simultaneously, I received word of your post snd and a message from an old friend. I suppose that adage may be true, sweet friend...out of sight perhaps, but never far from mind. I owe you a long letter...I haven't forgotten. It is a joy to find you back here...now I must do somethig about making my presence known more often when the dust settles a bit. I haven't forgotten that bottle of Barolo either! Much love and your work is as stunning as always Panda, Tay

Two States Of Mind For One (Poetry) - 8/13/2007 9:25:36 PM

Two States Of Mind For One (Poetry) - 8/13/2007 5:37:27 PM
It is amazing the things we say as compared to the things we truly feel, whether it be an answer to a question like "Honey am I fat?" which of course instead of saying will yes dear you have put on a few pounds we say...fat, are you kidding, where do you come up with these silly thoughts... Fee

lovely and sensuous...all done in decieving sparsness of the haiku/senryu form...I say decieving because, the layers of meaning and imagery employed here is quite lush. Excellent work!

Deep Down It's Them That's Strange (Poetry) - 4/19/2007 4:05:45 PM
How did I miss this one, Panda...I'm embarrasingly behind, as usual, but I'll catch up for sure one of these days.Yours is a git always , Panda and this hits home so hard. I remember coning home in tears when girls were cruel...and I think they are far more so than boys (says one mother of sons to another). The same goes for the times my own came home a little battered and bruised in body or pride. Growing leeons are tough to teach and ewven tougher to stand by and watch powerless. Much love, Taylor

Completion (Poetry) - 4/19/2007 3:45:17 PM
This resounds of happiness to me, Panda...and this is the perfect form in which to espress profound sensitivity and that exquisite closeness of love. When you find this, it is worth the wait. Much love, Taylor~

Delightful and joyous, this medley of 5-7-5's dear Panda. The magic associated with human touch is one of Gods greatest gifts to His creation. There is something undeniable when people connect. Like an invisible river that flows, and ebbs, back and forth, oblivious to all except the meaningfulness of the moment. Well done! Blessings to you dear friend ... Light and Wisdom ...

Saturation! (Poetry) - 4/2/2007 11:12:33 PM
Upliftingly positive, dear Panda, as the trance of romance is in re-entry and the pains of the past are dust under foot. Love is stupendous when it treats the heart, soul, and body to the magnificent overflow. Passion presented with intelligence, spirit, art, and style, my friend...as always. Those last two lines are deliciously real... :) Love, Tay

Amazing write to come back to the den with, as you let the reader dwell on the questions you seem to ponder with them. Their is a fine line between the too as any parent can attest too. As well life runs through this poem or perhaps the poem runs through life but either way it is smashing for sure. Fee

Sustenance or Succour? (Poetry) - 3/12/2007 2:50:00 PM
A profoundly important question that only the individual can effectively answer. Sometimes decision making requires an inordinate amount of faith, and not just intellect. Your write is an excellent introspective look at the seriousness of making the correct decision. Welcome back dear Panda! Light and Wisdom ...

Do I detect a new take on the dawn , my sweet friend? There is life and light and a bright new breath of life here as refreshing as the early morning rain or the sun as it slips into the horizon...a new and updated "How do I love thee". In can be good sometimes Panda. Life is certainly a mysterious beast that pulls and tugs at our hearts and minds and bodies and often takes us on the roller coaster ride of our lives. Your image is indicative of one of life's sweet simplicities that too often gets skewed. This was a satisfying write that brought thankfulness into my spirit like rays of light. Hope all is well. Light and Wisdom ...

Your write is full of inspiration and some of the finest pleasures in life, those that are often around us on any given day, we just have to take the time to see them and appreciate them! Great write my friend... Blessings, Joyce Bowling

Hmmmm, Miss P.......If we remain constant, it is truly amazing what the horizon may hold, especially when we are not looking. I am convinced that every step is but a stone in the right direction, we just have to get past the bolders and pot holes and look for the sensitivity and calm in the correct shade of blue...or green as the case may be. Do our lives run in parallels sweet friend...I suspect that when two become friends, their lives can mimic one another's under one moon...a bright and refreshing and lasting new one! My love and friendship for the coming year and in respect and thanksgiving for the closure of one that is past, Taylor xo

"And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head." MT8:20 That was the only thought, my dearest Panda, which kept piercing my mind, as I read your incredibly powerful and heart-wrenching poetry! The graphic you chose reminds one instantly of the nativity scene... Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/28/2006 11:43:59 PM
I can't help but feel the haunting chill as cardboard provides a pitiful, temporary home...that warmth from the flick of a match or the spirit of Christmas lights to see but not touch...pain fresh in the mind although past and the struggle one must endure to seek a new beginning. Oh Panda, such a fabulously crafted piece...it tears my heart apart, though I see it all to often. Much love, Tay

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/28/2006 10:39:37 AM
"Past and Presents" Unique, quite a powerful write. So powerful makes one stop in their tracks with the reality it encompasses. I loved every stanza Miss Pandora "So when you see her dark sullen eyes as she looks for some charity from your heart, don't judge her for how she wails and cries ...this Christmas maybe she just wanted a new start." This rings such a great message to society, and I say you never know where a person has been unless you have walked in their shoes. Thank you best wishes now and upcoming New Year 2007, From the Heart of an Artist Quiet Storm

Indeed the plight of the homeless is getting worse. Funding for facilities that take care of the homeless is inadequate due to increased costs, need, and severity of the illnesses and disabilities that are part of the homeless condition. The United States has a major problem with this issue..it seems the land of plenty has lost its status as such. Apparently there are over 3million homeless people in the united States and the number is rising.. What is the cause of this?...There are many theories..I'd say the almighty dollar needs to be removed from its pedestial and the human being needs to become primary.. Croatia is fortunate in not having many homeless..people here have a big heart and the few homeless people there are do not remain as such for long. This write should be printed in many magazines.. I've saved it.. Thankyou dear friend.. Vesna:)

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/26/2006 7:49:12 PM
Warm passionate words flowing as real as the hurt the capture and project to the reader. Pandy you did this one so well I almost expected to look over my shoulder and see this pained and wronged lady waiting in the shadows. Fee

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/26/2006 6:48:31 PM
it's difficult ro make a new start when one is homeless but it's never to late to try ... many have succeeded ... just as many have failed ... it all depends on how hungry you are to try to succeed ... the are many oganizations to help but many homeless are far too gone ... this poem effectively focuses on the sadness of falling to seek a new avenue of hope and the importance of not judging others who have fallen on hard times ...

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/26/2006 5:17:14 PM
Wow! This is a great write my friend, one that stirs the very soul of the reader, very thought provoking indeed. You've given the reader a look at the harshness of reality, for there are those who while we are inside in a warm home with caring and loving family, they are shiivering from the cruelty of the weather and others shivering from the cruelty of humans, as this lady seems to be trying to forget her cold and cruel past with the warmth of gin while also trying to shut out the weather as well. My goodness you've penned a deep and most touching write my friend. I love the way the story unfolded, and the last line is a bit haunting...this Christmas maybe she wanted a new start...there are many around the world who are in search or longing for a new start. Amazing write my friend. Blessings, Joyce Bowling

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/26/2006 1:59:41 PM
There are certain routes into downtown San Diego now that are literally lined with the homeless for blocks and blocks and blocks. It is a problem bigger than anyone can fix it seems. I believe that there are a few who are truly repentant and truly desire a new beginning - but finding these persons would consume ones entire life. You touch a nerve here dear Panda. For some, it is only unfortunate circumstance, not bad choices, or drugs, or alcohol, or mental illness, that has put them in so horrid a place. Powerful write! Richard Lloyd Cederberg

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/26/2006 1:48:58 PM
Dear Miss Pandora, your poem captures what everyman must do: charity towards those less fortunate than us. Alas we indulge in everything, but not in charity. Pity. We would have had a better world. Peace and happiness, Victor

Past and Presents (Poetry) - 12/26/2006 1:12:59 PM
Old memories, sweet and sour. You give a glimpse of this dear woman's soul and of how she ended up in this sad state. "Every person is worth understanding." (Clyde Narramore) I like the way her story unfolded, illuminated by the tiny flames until finally the last match burned out. You know how to stir the readers' compassion. Connie

Drifting In Symmetry (Poetry) - 12/6/2006 3:56:10 AM
Evocative...flawlessly fluid

Justify It ! (Poetry) - 12/1/2006 9:21:36 AM
Wow, Jerry has the blinders on here as does Rhonda... these are mere justifications, for all their understanding they fail to answer the simple "why" and continue blaming... on and on goes the story... not that they would dare to admit much of the reason lies in an egotistical president that 3 quarters of Americans do not trust and at least 90 percent of the world see him for what he really is. Some of them still really believe it is about 9-11, how sad that they can't see the truth, even now and continue to place the blame everywhere except where it truly belongs... on the evil one they elected! The following quote is one of my favorites... "When facism comes to America it will be wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross." Wait... when it comes? More like it is here, and it officially arrived in the year 2000, and it used the events of 9-11 to quietly enter, when we were most vulnerable. It is a shame that many do not understand THIS terrible fact. Yet another wonderful write from Pandora's (poetry) Box.

Drifting In Symmetry (Poetry) - 12/1/2006 9:10:29 AM
I was drifting within this beautifully written poem, remembering the joy of a gentle subtle touch and how "love stirs the senses while souls satisfy their endless destiny unaware of time or place two become one again, in passion, a sensual loving eternity." It's an outstanding piece and I'm glad I was here to experience it! ~Butch
