Don't think I could handle a high school reunion. This story was entertaining, held my interest and was a good length. Very well written and presented, nice job!

Do You Hear What I Hear? (Short Story) - 4/4/2007 5:57:27 PM
Lisa, this article is delightful because it is SO true! As a mom, I can sure relate. Funny, when my son was little, he used to embarrass me publicly with the things he said. Now that he is fourteen, he lives in fear that I will embarrass him in public. But at that age, sometimes all it takes is just my being there...

Time Makes You Bolder (Short Story) - 11/25/2006 8:45:30 PM
I had a similar experience with a shoulder pad that had apparently come loose in the wash. Somewhere in the dryer the bit of velcro on the shoulder pad had re-stuck itself to the inside of a pair of sweat pants...which I grabbed the following morning to make a quick jog to the corner store. I was halfway there before I realized that there was an inappropriate lump in my drawers. So, you'll understand why I laughed out loud when I read your story. I think these types of experiences build character, don't you? Getting older teaches us how to NOT sweat the small stuff and finally be exactly who we are, no apologies. The kids can just learn to deal with it...after all, in us they can get a glimpse of their own future selves. :o)

No Privacy For Mom (Article) - 7/11/2007 9:44:33 PM
I chuckled when you brought back memories of my own family. "...The darn things kids always say" I thought. Don't let the busy times burn out your inner fire. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit no matter what age they may be.

Now, go comb your hair. Bedhead at 4:00 p.m. is not attractive.
