Lost and Found -- Children's halloween story - Teaching salvation (Short Story) - 10/28/2009 5:33:50 PM
Great lesson for a big brother to make and survive to see his sister and family again. I will be reading this to my grandson, Michael who has a new little sister named Kate. We've discussed the responsibilities of a big brother already but this will give him a different slant on things . True story: Young Kate was Christened this past Sunday and her Godmother brought Michael( he's three) a tootsie pop dressed up as a goblin. When the priest asked him what he had in his breast pocket he replieed," My GG ( Ga. grandmother) said it is the Holy Ghost". That brought smiles and giggles at the Baptismal and an even to recall on the anniversary of Kate's Christening each year. God bless! love, Susan

A Coat -Tale (Short Story) - 1/31/2009 9:59:28 AM
I too have held on to God's coat tail, whenever times have been tough. This story HAS to be true, because I keep hearing it repeated over and over, with only the names changed to protect the innocent! Despite all of the suffering in the world, this proves once again that there really is a loving god who answers his children's needs, when they ask him for the right reasons. Thanks, Connie

A Coat -Tale (Short Story) - 11/25/2008 6:13:01 AM
I believe that Fern (below) was responsible for the $200 when she was visiting from VA, although to this day she does not admit it. She is one of the great blessings in my life. My brother Pat, Fern's husband, died at age 29, leaving Fern and two young children, Tammy and Patrick. She has remained a beloved sister through all these years, and a cherished friend and sister to my other siblings, two of whom live in VA. "Thank you, Fern" is a poem about another time she was a secret angel to the Faust family.

A Coat -Tale (Short Story) - 11/24/2008 6:14:24 PM

Don't Forget To Say Your Prayers (Short Story) - 9/3/2008 5:56:27 PM
Connie, How sweet, how loving a tribute to your beloved mother. The song reminds me that we used to sing names a the door of the friend who we wanted to come out and play. I don't have children, but I don't think there are the bedtime rituals of yesterday. I wish we all had the time and inclination to do so. I'm glad I found your writing here. blessings, Sue

Mug Shots -- The Old Brown Mugs (Short Story) - 9/3/2008 5:51:26 PM
Wow, I LOVE this. Having tea or coffee seems to be a thing of the past in terms of visiting. With folks working 2 and 3 jobs to make ends meet, coffee or tea time is just what they need and yet, what they are sure they have no time for. Giving tea bags, sending tea, how simple and yet such a friendly gesture. Amen to that one, eh?

Thou Preparest A Table (Short Story) - 8/14/2008 5:37:59 PM

It's an incredible thing to go under with peace and tranquility in your heart because our maker, the Lord Jesus Christ fills us with these attributes--to Him be All praise, honor and glory! God in A Rose (Article) - 6/9/2009 8:38:04 AM
Thank you for sharing... Roses have always been one of my favorite flowers. I have always thought of a rose's thorns as the perfect example of opposites...just as experiencing sorrow is a must if we are to know pure joy, etc... Without the bad we wouldn't appreciate the good nearly as much, and so it is with the rose...it's beauty is so far superior to the thorns. Cryssa

God in A Rose (Article) - 6/6/2009 4:09:25 AM
I'm breatheless!

Glimpses of Jesus (Article) - 10/18/2006 6:41:59 PM
Let me wipe my tears so I can see to post this....this one really touched me. You have captured this so beautiful. I know we shouldn't complain, because even though our suffering is hard and sometimes we think that we can't bare it...his was so much worse. What if he hadn't have suffered it for us??? Where would we be? You've given the reader so much to think about. This would be a beautiful write to have before one goes into surgery or even for a procedure where you are sedated. It is very uplifting.... Blessings, Joyce Bowling

Day of Judgment, Day of Lament (Poetry) - 11/19/2009 10:33:36 PM
Dear Connie, first I am happy to see you again in my den. You are always welcome. In us is the judge, the savior and the helper. The Almighty gave us the tools to model our life according to His plan. Many cannot see His plan, others see it sooner, and some wait their time. I like your poem and your devotion to God and His Son. Be assured that whatever you do or think in life is acknowledged instantly, as the one who acknowledges it is in us. Live your life with confidence and peacefully, with the faith that everything will be fine. Love to you, your husband and your friend. Emile
