For the Love of a Good Woman (Short Story) - 9/27/2007 10:05:58 AM
Very nice, very nice. I can't tell you how much I appreciated all of the concrete details. The story has a very tactile feel to it. And the ending, he's going to decorate her French country dining-room, is just the right subtle twist to end the story with.

Cruising the Highways and Byways (Short Story) - 4/12/2007 6:28:00 AM
Nature affects me the same way. It's very relaxing. I even enjoy the Nature programs on public television. My fondest childhood memories are about my stepgrandfather's farm. "Cruising the Highways and Byways" is a great way for me to start the day.

From Walton's Mountain to Monticello - And Back Again (Article) - 8/20/2010 9:42:52 AM
Great story! It took me back, not just to the iconic TV program, but to my own trip somewhere around 1998 from home (Fairfax, VA at the time)to Schuyler and Monticello. I also enjoyed the "teaser" for "Tales Along the Way Home". Hope you will post an excerpt or two here. By the way, are you by any chance related to George Tolles, who lived in Steamboat Springs CO around 1989? Regards, Jack (John J.) St. John

UPDATE: SAVE THE HARVEY HOUSE HAVASU (Article) - 4/9/2008 4:40:12 AM
Virginia, you've written an excellent case presenting reason why the Harvey House Havasu should not be torn down. There is so much to be learned and gained from old historical buildings that mark the legacy of lives out of the past. I hope it will be preserved.

On Conformity and Mediocrity (Article) - 8/13/2007 11:24:44 AM
I guess that we approach the point where time becomes more important than perfection. I understand what a human being like you can feel. In my time not only spelling was very important but penmanship was the expression of a person's character. My last book, which was published in France by a famous publishing house contained some errors. But keep in mind that the thought and the way it is expressed are still relevant.

In Honor of Those Who Serve Us (Article) - 4/19/2007 9:40:20 AM
Interesting thought provoker you have penned; frankly, I am sick of all the Bush Baashing going on. He may not be our best president we ever had, but he IS our leader, and we must respect him, right or wrong. I choose to respect him. (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

I'm Going on the Warpath (Article) - 4/10/2007 11:26:01 PM
Interesting write Virginia. Isn't it interesting how we have money for all types of projects, except for those that matter the most, like helping our fellow human being. Yes, we live in a sad, selfish world today.... Be safe, Karen

Like Great Waves Crash on Distant Shore (Poetry) - 8/12/2008 7:40:16 AM
This composition shows the poetential (POETIC=POTENTIAL) of a profound and true Poet. "Like Great Waves Crash on Distant Shore" was poemized diligently, releasing a sublime voice to enchant and inspire... The subject dealt was revealed clearly; the rhythm and flow made their goals, and I am glad I have read an excellent poem that honors the language, and the holy historical pages of Poetry. I salute You, Poet. Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU
