Breathe Again (Book) - 3/1/2008 9:40:03 AM|
Therefore, I say unto you, wheresoever these pages shall be read, throughout the entire world, that there will be this, of how a young girl was victimized in her a youth but overcame as a woman; and that it not only be shared and read as a memory of me but as tool for other survivors of rape so that they can share and know that they too can overcome and become empowered after rape.
YOU got that right!
Let us empower the human soul, who lost their own inner faith!
HOPE must conquor!
As my story also tells it, I've been there for weeks, months and years! and I survived and I still smile! Time to EMPOWER!
and thank you for sharing your O P E N amazing heart and soul, Lavinia!
I may get this book, although I've been through it and I'm stronger than I could ever be! as I write effortlessly to help those who don't believe!
Strength in Numbers my friend, and your leading them fruitfully!
Let us share our inner pains, burdons and our strengths!

North Texas Rape Victims Speak Out For DNA Tests (Article) - 9/28/2006 9:40:44 AM
I saw this on CBS11 News (I live in Arlington).I commend you for speaking out and touching others; you have great courage, and can pass that on to other victims. S'cuse my language, but that SOB should never get out of prison...ever!! TAASA is a worthy group that SHOULD receive the annual grant.
North Texas Rape Victims Speak Out For DNA Tests (Article) - 9/25/2006 9:15:34 AM
So sad that it took 20 years to get there. There should be no time limitation on any crime. That's what really should be lobbied for.

What Is This? (Poetry) - 5/26/2008 8:18:41 PM
Feeling like that going through me tonight right now. I have no peace and it is bedtime. Crying over a move I plan to make in the nearest future and neither wanting to leave my home here behind. I thought I would be happy with a smaller place to live and I might be but fears and crying are here tonight. I did ask God to be with me and lead me and show me his way in my life. So that should help.

My Sisterhood (Poetry) - 7/11/2007 2:41:44 PM
I think you are very positive in this world that learns hate. There is so much power in what you are doing. I am impressed because when we lose our breath the gateway to our interaction in this world only God can bring us back. I have been very alarmed by the violence that so many women continue to go through. I know what happens but yet each time it does I am again shocked. I haven't written for about four years and it feels so brutal and silent. I have always spoken out about abuse but you made realize that public acknowledgment of survival is what get you to stand again. I thank you a survivor.

Our Season Together (Poetry) - 2/1/2007 7:17:33 AM
Written from your soul...and what a fine soul you have...
Hopefully through this frienship and unconditional love, you have planted the necessary seed for them to continue...and sometimes, all it takes is that one little seed and sometimes it grows together, other times, far apart~ but regarless, there is a reason...
Enjoyed the thoughts this stirred!
Love and Peace~

A Terrible Thing To Waste (Poetry) - 11/8/2006 7:56:10 AM
You are so right my friend...the mind is a terrible thing to waste, I always heard that if we don't exercise our minds they will go stale. The more we read, think, write, and imagine the healthier they and we will be. My mother cares for an elderly lady and practices this daily with her through reading, seek a word puzzles, pictures to allow her to reflect back, and many more pleasures and uses of the brain. The mind is a wonderful thing, just as your write is.

No Longer A Victim (Poetry) - 10/20/2006 4:13:16 PM
I came to your page because my grandmother is a Masters from Worcestershire in England. I wished to find if there was any connection beteen us.
I was going to comment on your poem, but you know, I do not know what to say. At the age of 76 one would have thought that I could say something, but all that I can come up with is......"and only man is vile".
My love to you dear girl.
