Passed Down Through 4 Generations VTM'S Favorite Family Recipes (Book) - 6/1/2006 5:16:40 AM
Included in the Passed Down Through 4 Generations offerings are engaging comments and background information regarding the author’s family of chefs. The reader will learn how the Taylor family men came to be known for their cooking after Grandfather grew up remembering and sharing tales of some of his favorite childhood foods. Included are recipes for many tasty dishes southern folks will also remember: fried green tomatoes dipped in cornmeal, fried potatoes and onions with sausage, scrambled eggs, piping hot buttermilk biscuits with a side order of red-eye gravy, venison chops and sweet creamed peas, egg custard pie, bread pudding with nuts and apples, and Grandfather’s mother’s old-fashioned peach cobbler. These are the recipes for dishes I remember with happiness from my own childhood. Cooks will find recipes for beverages, appetizers, soup, bread, entrée, side dishes/veggies, salads, dessert, low cal, sandwich, sauce, herbs and spices, cooking with wine, substitutions, standard measurements.

Le Fin (Book) - 4/9/2006 8:07:22 AM
Enjoyed the read.
Title: .Le Fin
Genre: Romantic Thriller
Author: . Victoria Taylor Murray
From the opening paragraphs wherein the reader listens in while Gabe is talking to his fiancée Lisa Clayborne on the telephone, to the last sentences with a mystified Nouri cuddled in the arms of her husband the reader is carried on a fast paced action packed drama. Writer Murray shows an adroit deftness as she gathers all the loose ends left dangling in the first three books of the series and has woven a satisfying conclusion to the narrative.

What a wonderful change of pace for you, Victoria, and surely a treat for us, your readers. Old family recipes ... I'm sure in this fast food and 'must diet' age, we'll love trying the real thing!

Hi... I haven't had the pleasure of reading your books yet but am ordering myself a copy for Christmas this year. I will leave a review after I read it.
I wanted to thank you for your review of my book on Amazon.com. It did alot to boost my sales but for some reason it was recently removed from my page, even though it was quite a good review and many readers commented on it.

The Review
Following on the heels of Forbidden, the second in Writer Taylor’s Lambert Series comes the third: Friendly Enemies. Again Taylor’s account is filled with robust and unwavering characters set against a framework of conspiracy, deceitfulness and torrid romance. Forceful colloquy between the players set the stage for intrigue. The chronicle travels from Lambert near Cape Cod to France and China.

Friendly Enemies (Book) - 3/13/2003 1:52:05 PM
"Friendly Enemies" is highly entertaining if you are in the mood for lusty fun. It's definitely adult reading and I am so glad Ms Taylor Murray has the guts to give a good number of male writers a run for their money...that is to say: she writes in an unabashed way that might put a blush on the author of Candy's face. Moreover, once again I found not only beauty, but also humour, is very much in the eye - and mind - of the beholder. I blinked and grinned and shook my head as I was reading and wondering how firmly Ms Taylor kept her tongue in cheek when she penned this series about an endearingly naive heroine who plays with more than the hearts of her admirers.
You're on quite a roll, Victoria! Best of luck and much fun to you!

Forbidden Book two--The Lambert Series (Book) - 7/26/2002 11:42:02 AM
In Forbidden Victoria Taylor Murray gives us another romantic suspense novel, in this sequel to Thief of Hearts. Her characters become even more deeply involved in nail-biting and unexpected plot developments that hold the reader captive and reluctant to put the book down, as he continues turning pages into the wee hours of the night. There are unsolved murders, characters under suspicion, explosive and erotic sex scenes as frustrated lovers vent their emotions, and try to cope with events that frighten, disgust, excite, and even confuse the reader, while he wonders what will happen next in this web of suspense and mystery.
At the conclusion of Forbidden, the reader wonders who will win Nouri's heart? Will the murderer(s) be brought to justice? Can their sordid activities be stopped? And why did Forbidden after almost 500 attention-grabbing pages have to come to an end? We can only hope Book 3 of the Lambert Series will soon be available to whet our impatient appetites for more mystery, romance and intrigue.

This second book seems to have picked up where the first left off, fast paced, full of intrigue and mystery. A must read as far as I can tell. You've woven characters, mystery and desire throughout the scenes, and one can't help to be draw into the middle of it all.
Great job!

Thief Of Hearts (Book) - 5/15/2002 1:26:52 PM
You've got it all, and in such a short excerpt, you have the reader begging for the whole thing! It's definitely a book worth reading, and one I believe will be a fast pace rollar coaster you won't want to get off when the book finishes. Thankfully there's a book two, now I'm off to see it!

Thief Of Hearts (Book) - 4/28/2002 7:01:07 AM
Dynasty on Speed. This is what the super rich do when they arn't doing business and arn't in control of their jealosy, greed, morals, and self endulgances. All making for characters so interesting in their dialogue and thinking that you feel like the characters should be named Burton, Taylor, Sinatra, and Gardner. Just think of them when you wonder if this book's characters are too outrageous and out of control to be believed. When money is no object the id has the freedom to take over, as it has done with these characters, making them so intense in their actions the page turning becomes almost hynotic.
Victoria Taylor Murray has really gotten into the minds of her characters and with the author's beautiful face gracing the back cover, you feel like maybe you're reading excerpts from her fantasy diary, making everything in the book more urgent and realistic while mentally casting her in the part of the lead character.
For those who like erotic thrillers with bite this is the one.

Inteligent, exciting, captivating writing! A solid story line that tantalizes the mind. It's a clear demonstration of Victoria's wonderful talent of being able to paint masterful scenes with skilled brush strokes of words. A true literary artwork, and not a book to be missed!

2006Horoscope By Ester (Short Story) - 7/3/2005 8:38:51 PM
Hello, Victoria,
I'm at my daughter's house, waiting for them to come home so I can go back home. We both live in San Jose, but I've been here a week, dog/house-sitting while they're at their new cabin in Sun Valley, Idaho. I brought all my promo material for TOONIES with me and enjoyed the quiet of having the house and pool all to myself. Six in my family came on Wednesday to swim and visit, though, but that was IT for the week.
Have all my things packed and ready to go home and they're not here yet. Had some free time so decided to check out Author's Den. Happy to see you on here, and I think Ester's cute ... Dig those glasses and that hat. Enjoyable website, all in all.
Well, good luck with all your books. Toonies is on the shelfs at local Barnes and Nobles now and a few small bookstores, and have had three newspaper write-ups. Finally getting a long review in the Los Altos Hills paper, so should see some action from that. (That's the city where my main hero in Toonies lives; very upscale neighborhood, near Palo Alto.)
Well, thanks for an enjoyable time on your website.

A Few Documented Ghost Stories That Are Yet To Be Explained (Short Story) - 1/10/2005 4:29:31 AM
This is a tight story and as a ghost hunter/horror author, I've always had this dark interest toward a good ghost story. You did this nicely here and I agree with everyone on here that you did a strong job in delivering them. I am surprised this one went past my radar.
Sasquatch, A Creature By Any Other Name (Short Story) - 8/18/2004 6:46:36 PM
This is a cool story. I had to read this one. I have to say it is one of those interesting subjects to read about. I wanted to write a bigfoot story but I am waiting until I go camping with a few friends and when the chance comes out it will be written. Thanks for giving a fun read. I do want to use this an anthology I am putting together.

Sasquatch, A Creature By Any Other Name (Short Story) - 6/26/2004 8:26:56 AM
I love all these things Victoria, Big Foot, Yeti, Nessie etc. Although the professional skeptics (aka bigots) always claim there is a logical explanation their logic is usually more incredible than the eye witness accounts.
Actually Sasquatch has a big part in a comedy work I have in progress. He is recruited by a group of amiable nutcasess who are trying to save the world, has a very down to earth way of approaching problems and constantly complains about his brother who sold out by accepting a part in Star Wars.
Thanks for this interesting and well researched story.

Fun Facts From Afar (Something To Share With Your Children) (Article) - 11/13/2007 10:06:43 PM
Many great snippets of information here...but just one niggly comment to make. "Koala bear" is a misnomer, as koalas are not bears at all but marsupials (animals of which the females have a pouch). Thanks for a fun article. Best regards, Julie.

Dear Victoria,
What a poesy you have created here to delight the spirit of any reader -especially me. And what a great idea: to use these flowers gernated from the seeds of the Immortal Bard's genius.
Reminds me of a quote from the great French wtiter, Montaigne:
*I have gathered a posie of other men's flowers
and nothing but the thread that
binds them is my own*
Thanks for this exquisite offering.
As ever,

State-To-State Health Departments Are Prepared For Terrorist Biological Events (Article) - 4/29/2003 8:35:08 AM
Gosh! I have many mixed feelings on this issue, but I have also found in my life that being prepared is not such a bad thing. I was extremely impressed with your bio and all and I would simply love an honest review and any tips you may have. I am new here at AD and getting reviews are hard to come by, not sure why but I do hope that this will change. Keep up with the wonderful writings!
State-To-State Health Departments Are Prepared For Terrorist Biological Events (Article) - 4/3/2003 8:32:34 AM
Very well written. It is a new world post-9-11 and the new realities call for a new paradigm for both government Health Departments and private health organizations, as well as Emergency First Responders...the challenge will be doing all this within the new post-9-11 budget constraints.
Fine writing!

So much heartbreak to go through sad but true. Feelings are smashed and looking forward is hard to do. Lost love isn't fun and can we replace it. Wait and see, maybe.
