Dread of Bed (Poetry) - 5/15/2008 9:55:38 AM
Use my bed for sleeping, reading in afternoons and hate the darkness at nights. Use it for prayers each night to my Lord and Savior, chases the devils away, and wait for morning to say I am Alive again.

Puppy Love (Children) by CJ Heck & Rusty Daily (Poetry) - 3/20/2007 12:59:32 PM
Now you two shine in this department... what a wonderful complement you are for each other and I can see how this would work between you. It's amazing when the synergies just correspond. And I really can't discern which energies belong to whom in this well-crafted poem - the whole is seamless. Delightful narrative which is illuminating and sensitive and yet which also gives us an entire character sketch and scenario. So well-balanced - even with the fall! Love this and my warmest congratulations to you both. I hope this will be a partnership that will be repeated... it is gorgeously fruitful! :)) TY K xx

Shards of Memories (Poetry) - 11/22/2006 2:12:29 PM
... So well sustained with the analogy, Rusty. I could feel every tensed nerve and strained muscle, both in the heart and mind. And oh those poor bleeding feet! Unique and thought-provoking. Tender and sincere. The imagery runs as clear as... glass. Like the freshness in this. TY K xx

Shards of Memories (Poetry) - 11/22/2006 5:43:25 AM
I thought of a house of mirrors that we used to visit when the traveling carnivals came to towns. In this write it is as if one has been shattered, much like the images in the mirrors appear, but then returned to whole once you leave the house of is that way...shatters us and tears us apart, but we get back up and are whole once again...even though memories creep in occasionally and the enemy tries to tear down, we can overcome with prayer and love. Blessings, Joyce Bowling

Shards of Memories (Poetry) - 11/22/2006 5:17:45 AM
"Shards of Memories" ~ A bittersweet being sliced and sewn back up! been there~ done that...The memories of the good times seem to filter in, but only after the bad ones disolve! Our journey can be raised to a different light no matter how bad or is up to us to see the good! Thank God! I'm keeping this one! Love and Peace~ Kimmy~

Shards of Memories (Poetry) - 11/22/2006 4:44:23 AM
Oh Rusty-friend, you write with such depth of feeling. This journey was obviously tortuous, yet you came through it to feel such genuine and enduring love. Kathleen must be a special lady to deserve such devotion and I have no doubts, we would all love her, as well. Exceptional work. Love, CJ

The Five and Dime (Poetry) - 11/20/2006 8:42:11 PM
Most interesting work of art...I do the same standing in a lane...or even sitting in my car waiting for's fun at times but very sad faces can make your own day blue...or even cheer you up...knowing you still have so much more to be thankful for!! Deep offering if you really want to look deeper into it!! Love Moody Tinka

The Five and Dime (Poetry) - 11/20/2006 8:39:31 PM
We live in an egoistic world really and the needs of others don't bother us. We have arrived at a point where if we ask about others is interpreted as interfering and prying. Lovely character study. Victor

The Five and Dime (Poetry) - 11/20/2006 7:14:39 PM
A sign of our times, I think. Possibly just trying to get through the day - too many hours, too meager paychecks. First thought: WHERE do you find a "five and dime"? Woolworths and Kresges far long gone. Micke

Puddles and Dirty Little Boys (Poetry) - 11/20/2006 6:58:04 PM
Yes Rusty~ "Puddles and Dirty Little Boys" can be fun... for grown women too! LOL! This reminds me of a white water rafting trip I took...4 days at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, we stopped for lunch one day, where the Big Colorado meets the Little Colorado...the rain from the night before made the little river look so muddy coming down from the mountains...Another girl on the trip and I stood in the Little Colorado and pasted ourselves from head to toe with the thickest mud I ever did see...we baked in the sun of 110 took all of 5 minutes to harden...and boy did it do wonders for my complexion! HA! great poem to go along with my great memories! Love and Peace~ Kimmy~

Good humor as we've come to expect from you, Rusty! I've seen a crazy cartoon such as you describe, but your words paint a more complete picture! "At least I don't let doggy lick me on the face." What, you don't appreciate a good facial-scrub? Micke
