Good information. I know covers are very important too, for shelf appeal. And you are so right, you can tell an amateur job right off. My objection is that paperbacks in the US fall apart after one or two readings. In the UK their bindings on paperbacks are sewn. The things you notice when you are a writer...ROFL Thanks for this.
