Bought it. Read it. Turned pages alternately amazed, laughing, and groaning, amazed at the sheer audacity of this psychotic work. Hopped up out of my easy chair with a sic, giddy look on my face and then dropped into a James Brown split with the prerequisite raspy "Hehn!" You rock. Go 'head, scare the horses, break some more windows. Keep the status quo in your gunsights, let yourself giggle when you squeeze the trigger. It's all good here in the slaughterhouse...

Neurone Fry Up (Book) - 3/31/2002 7:08:48 PM
Very curious.

Broken (Book) - 3/30/2002 7:26:34 AM
I love Alice Cooper. I don't like death and pain. I truly love sex. This book sounds "very interesting." Even beyond the cliche of that phrase.

Sounds like my kind of book.

Overtime at the PUmpkin Factory (Short Story) - 5/3/2006 7:30:53 PM
Excellent captivating write, Mike! God bless, Sandie.

Bukkakeworld (Short Story) - 7/14/2004 3:05:33 PM
I read this one when it was on, I didn't know what to make of this one because it is so damned weird. You do have some imagery here that gets me scratching my head, but I am not going to argue with you here on this. I look at this from someone who also writes with surrealism as well. This is one weird-ass story.

Bukkakeworld (Short Story) - 7/11/2004 8:07:19 AM

The Boy Who Fell To Earth (Short Story) - 5/2/2004 6:35:55 PM
Damn. I haven't really commented on much of your work but I had to comment on this one because I had been talking to Alex via AIM from time to time. I cannot tell which was you and which was Alex in this story and that is one crazy as hell story. Alex is one talented writer, and you working with her -- that makes it even more insane.

Twisted wonderfully disturbing stuff with some nice touches of black humor. Your stories squeeze my brain, Mike! lol

Red, Red Wine (Short Story) - 11/22/2003 1:02:57 PM
If you will pardon my french, this story is a complete mind f*ck! I mean that in the kindest way!! Nice to see writing that has the balls to be completely original.

It's never a simple task to remark on your prose. I always feel a bit the culprit for even reading your stories. That speaks of the common aversion. Next, occasionally, your prose seem far too dense for the culmination of your potential audience to appreciate. Yet, despite these sentiments, I always exact some brilliant imagery from your fiction; and I always find your fiction worthwhile... THOUGH (of course) I PRAY THAT YOU NEVER LOSE SIGHT OF YOUR OWN PHYSICAL OFF-SWITCH ! Also, I read ASSHOLE. I thought that was a very strong piece of fiction. It's blunt and brilliant...and I think that's a characterisic that a very sharp word-smith such as you can always use in greater abundance. Thanks for a couple of great stories, Nick

Rosie's Sad Story (Short Story) - 4/12/2003 10:58:04 PM
Damn Ron, this one is nuts. Good one here, nice imagery of incest -- gave me the chills. This one is just disturbing.

Rosie's Sad Story (Short Story) - 3/8/2003 12:12:46 AM
Great story! Very colorful language and apt analogies. I liked this one. Thanks.

Red, Red Wine (Short Story) - 12/13/2002 9:36:21 AM
this one is tight -- you'd like Bloodletting of mine. I wrote this under another name but it was something which created a tone which is more sinister.

Zombie, Flesh Eater (Short Story) - 11/12/2002 8:25:47 AM
Being a life-long fan of Romero's 'Living Dead' series, I must applaud loudly at the exquisite 'gore n' guts' displayed here. Wonderfully written, although my next excursion into the land of fast food restaurants will not be without some serious cautious thinking. By the way, I am a fellow horror maven..feel free to check my Again, great tale....

Beautifully written. Most impressive.

I wanna, Livinia (Poetry) - 10/7/2006 10:46:20 AM
I would say this "exercise in linguistic patterns," with its short powerful blasts of cynical irony and satire, succeeded quite well Mr. Philbin. Thank you for the treat. Always enjoy your work. Aberjhani

Beer Talk (Poetry) - 9/3/2006 4:32:50 AM

Beer Talk (Poetry) - 4/2/2003 12:24:03 AM
I guess I don't know that you're cruising for chicks like Bill here. I liked this. I downloaded That Little Book of Murder. I was confused by the poem (sans the appropriate breaks). It made better sense here. Nice write!

Beer Talk (Poetry) - 3/30/2003 4:59:02 PM
Well do it so rough, but I do it so gentle. Use more honey and less flies. Won't that work better. Bill
