Experience, Strength and Hope (Book) - 6/30/2007 2:16:12 PM
It is very difficult to realize how large the universe is and that we are all connected; although wars make one wonder. Most of all, sometimes we get so caught up in what we do know that we don't fully realize how much we don't know. _Experience, Strength and Hope_ promises to be an inspiring but mind expanding read. Mom's can be like that...always something up their sleeves! That's a great memory. I write a lot about my mom as well...helps to keep her close if only in memory.

Broken (Short Story) - 9/3/2007 9:49:27 AM
Having had a bone graft on my left navicular wrist bone after nursing it in everyway that I could for nine years because the doctors kept saying, "Oh, that hairline fracture will heal itself," I can so identify. Still more than that, I love that the child in the story grew from the experience, survived the emotional scars and the physical pain, and seemed to have what I call that "smiling spirit" anyway. Really good read.

george,
I found out... from a research chemist friend of mine, that I couldn't drink because of my Native American heritage, I didn't posess enough of the proper enzyme in my liver to process the alcohol into sugar and water. Instead it turned into...sugar...water...Folic acid, (fire ant bites) and mostly formaldahyde.....thank God I had a reason to stop...Why would someone as intellegent as I intentionally injest poison?...hence the name "fire water"....bless his heart

Why (Short Story) - 5/28/2007 2:50:20 AM
George,
yeah, but, what if your right and they are wrong. But are the kind of assholes that would never admit it to you even though they find out you are?
Then what? You have no satiafaction, and they wil still hate you forever. Hard to know what to do...eh?
I've found instead of arguing, I let em be....they are still gonna hate you no matter. Just because your opinion differs. Just watch your back.
Walt

Enjoyed, I too am a feline lover, we have an old mama cat on our farm and now many offsprings have begun their own families, but I still find myself being partial to the mama cat...her name well, it suits her after so many litters of kittens...it's Boobs! Yeah, we don't call her name outloud very often, think my daughter inlaw gave her that name, not sure! Wherever it came from, it stuck. She's a great old girl, good mouser, always enjoys a pet on the head, never runs in the house unless invited, and doesn't sleep on the hood of your vehicle. A great little mother as well, who could ask for more! Enjoyed this my friend!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Mandi (Article) - 6/27/2007 10:49:37 AM
Back when I was a kid, about a week ago, no longer then that, we had a cat named Sunny and one day I said to Sunny, Sunny, don't take this the wrong way but I think that cats in general are sneaky, self-centered and very lazy...Sunny told me then that he'd sent a special message to all the cats in the universe that I was evil...and to this day there has been no mention of a treaty between cats and me.
But yours sounds OK...for a cat, and this was a very good write.
Peace and good luck with Mandi

Very amusing and good write George, I have had a cat ("Frigga,
old norse mythology., 2n wife of Odin". for 17 years, she is still like a kitten and I am her slave. I love dogs but felt the same as you. She will bring magic into your life and hide when she does not like someone before you suspect anything. as an early warning device. Waves of love to you and Mandi }}}}}}}} Barbara

Acid Tongues (Poetry) - 12/14/2008 8:12:22 PM
Hello George,
Sheer TRUTH. I can relate to this and have experienced a lot of these too, these are the "termites" that eat up what Christianity is all about. I hope and pray for your Mom, but God looks at the heart, not appearances.

I completely agree with this. Let them be them, me be me, do not judge or corrupt me as I am, for I am comfortable with you as you are. Huh...I found another St. Louis poet.....a good one at that. My family stems from Bunker, I know you know it.
In This World, Not OF It (Poetry) - 9/23/2008 7:34:18 PM
A resounding AMEN!!! This poem, to me, is the essence of what poetry was meant to be. At its best when magnifying The Creator of Heaven and Earth. Excellent thoughts skillfully shared in a memorable way! Thankyou George .

Vut so easy to review. When you get tired, and it gets dark and late for you, you go to bed and fall asleep if you can. Lethargy sets in to us all at times.
