Your poem really got me thinking. If you meant the before section to be literally one day before birth, the after section is fine. If you meant the before section to be various days before beautiful things in nature were seen for the first time, I'm not sure suicide would have eventuated in the after section. If it did, why? Your poem made me cry...but I believe that "Love does not keep a record of wrongs" and seventh chances are still possible. I write my words to my Dad and Mom (so they can't reply fast enough) and tell them all the things I'm sorry for and ask forgiveness, and that
has set me FREE. Thank you for writing this, it is reality now I'm a parent in my old age too.

I've worked in nursing homes too. If the family doesn't visit, they don't get good care. They say oh well, who cares and make sure the ones who do receive visitors get the best care. It doesn't seem fair but that is the way it seems to be. I hope I never end up in one of these.

Well, it certainly puts a smile on one's face! Yes, parents are most finicky, like a well bred cat, but ahhhhhhh, children.see their eyes light up, their giggles escape as they try ohhhhhhhh so hard to contain themselves from laughing. Great little piece here.....I'm a parent and I don't hate this poem either!!

Loved this write, boy it brings back memories of the baby sitters. When I was growing up my mom always worked two jobs, and often we would have a baby sitter several nights a week...my brother, sister, and myself would often see who could come up with the best tricks to play on her...needless to say we went through many baby sitters over the years! Enjoyed this poem much my friend!
