This is like looking into a dreamscape right out of a medicine man's bag of mysteries. So real and yet wo mystical it draws the reader into the very soul of the writers mind. Well done for sure. Fee

Battle of The Flesh (Poetry) - 10/12/2007 6:14:52 AM
This is such an intense glimpse into the personal reflection of the subjects life and painful thoughts. Aching and sad but still there is a spark that can be fanned to life to bring back the beauty Queen who held her head regally instead of her legs openly. Fee

Battle of The Flesh (Poetry) - 10/11/2007 3:29:19 PM

Departure from Normal (Poetry) - 9/23/2007 8:17:50 AM
yes, indeed a powerful and emotionally stimulating account of a dysfunctional relationship ... your imagery probes, quite effectively, into an unbalanced torment due to a overwhelming sense of insensitivity and apathy ... yet, it seems there is a acceptance or acquiescence to the situation which seems to be typical of emotional abuse ... "When he robs my cunt like a quick crossover puzzle He crushes my spine with laughter" ... very interesting imagery ... overall, a very effective poem ...

Departure from Normal (Poetry) - 9/22/2007 8:45:18 PM
Cathy, This is raw, poignant and fascinating. I love the line: "He wants to taste depression in my eyes". That is plain soulfire. If this is autobiographical, that is a sorrow, but you know pain and pathos like only a poet does and you write them like only a lover would.... B

Departure from Normal (Poetry) - 9/22/2007 7:18:01 PM
Powerful dramatic poetry at its best, I think it is time the subject dumped the loser but the writing is fantastic to raise such anger and perhaps pity at this lady who gives do much fro so little in return. Fee

Hello Love (Poetry) - 2/14/2007 12:14:55 PM
This one is a strong open and honest look at love and how some relationships and the people in them pretend that all is well, in some lines I can almost see the male as nothing more than a pimp for this girl who craves just the one on one love that all should posess. Well doen Cathy...very real. Fee

Interview with Mr. President (Poetry) - 2/1/2007 10:37:19 AM

Overtaken (Poetry) - 2/1/2007 10:11:28 AM
Child/young woman, not much difference here. I may be reading this wrong, but I found this piece very sad, and a bit lonely. As if even as the search for what one thought was missing, is found, the pain is only increased. I loved this poem. Striking~! debra

Interview with Mr. President (Poetry) - 2/1/2007 10:06:52 AM
My first thought when reading this was how many men it could fit. Too often after any public office (or dies) is left the person is remembered kindly, and the things which were so important once fade from memories. You have made a powerful statement in this piece and one that needs to be remembered. debra

Interview with Mr. President (Poetry) - 1/30/2007 3:36:46 AM

Overtaken (Poetry) - 1/2/2007 10:26:41 PM
I found this work of your intriguing...while it is very sensual, erotic really, there is an underlieing poignacy that hints at trials and tribuations of coming of age and bittersweet success and mistakes. You make grand use of metaphor and vivid imagery. All in all, this is an exceptional piece of work.

Overtaken (Poetry) - 1/2/2007 6:24:22 PM
The crave of sensuality is hidden within the word sexua;ity and this dance of thoughts shows the escape into the grasp of desires as one fills their need...nice work on this expressive view through poetry.... enjoyed.....Art Sun...
