Wow. That is a mouthful and so true.
Poetry is wordmusic and what a way to express the process of writing.
I really enjoyed reading it.
Glad I stopped by.

Thought you might enjou this song. It was just recorded in Nashville. Bill.........................................
"Our Souls Shall Meet In Heaven"
I
Last night when I lay sleeping,
I saw you standing by my bed,
I reached out to touch you,
Then remembered what you said.
Chorus .....
I'm going home to Jesus - far beyond this earthly shore,
And I want you to know - I couldn't love you more,
Our souls shall meet in Heaven - I'll stand by your side,
Love you forever - and be your Heavenly guide..
II
Your voice seemed so far away
Like an echo in my heart,
And when it was time to part
I remembered what you said.
Chorus .....
I'm going home to Jesus - far beyond this earthly shore,
And I want you to know - I couldn't love you more,
Our souls shall meet in Heaven - I'll stand by your side,
Love you forever - and be your Heavenly guide..
Musical Break .....
Bridge .....
Time flew by that night and suddenly it was dawn,
And I felt so lonely I couldn't carry on,
But just when my heart was giving in to despair,
I found a ribbon on your pillow and a lock of your hair.
Tie .....
And heard your voice from Heaven saying ...
Chorus .....
I'm going home to Jesus - far beyond this earthly shore,
And I want you to know - I couldn't love you more,
Our souls shall meet in Heaven - I'll stand by your side,
Love you forever - and be your Heavenly guide.
Tag .....
Yes, I'm going home to Jesus
and you'll be by my side.

Frederick:
Thank you for a poem so real. Seems like you have taken the words out of my mouth. I can relate to this so well.
Well-done, Frederick!
