The Letter (Short Story) - 11/5/2009 11:38:28 AM
Well I think it definately has potential. At one time this theme was used a lot in writing but I haven't seen it in a while so would be a welcome renewal and with the added twist of the secret sister...could be a real winner. fee

The Letter (Short Story) - 11/5/2009 11:36:36 AM
Katie, This was excellent! Taking a writing class myself, I'm trying to absorb all the knowledge I can through other peoples work. You had me in the story from the beginning to the end. Best of luck to you in your class. I hope I can get through mine! Just a bit more difficult than I imagined. Mary

Victoria Winters Part 2 (Short Story) - 6/16/2009 11:18:18 AM
I like the way you're developing your story, Katie. I'm anticipating a lot of suspense in the chapters to come. At some point, you will have to do a bit of editing, but in the meantime, on with the story. David obviously needs a firm hand. -gene.

Sammy the Flying Squirrel (Short Story) - 6/4/2009 12:52:47 PM
Katie, I guess there's a moral here. As I was reading, it occurred to me that perhaps Sammy should reach for the stars which shine like Tiffany diamonds. If he could grab one of those sparkling stars--now that would be worthy of a story in the New York Times. -gene.

Living Your Life On Purpose (Article) - 1/19/2009 4:20:18 PM
I love your thoughts and outlook on life. I hear you whisper and ask kindly with good points to make. Yes, accepting yourself and being proud of the little things about yourself is the first step at someone accepting you. I learned this the hard way. Now, with peace of mind about who I am, what I'm about, I can share it with others and they find me to be awesome. How cool is that to know? Confidence is the key.

Sweet Katie! YES WE CAN is the right attitude to hold on to for dear life. The whole point is in never giving up on what matters most to you. The Watch (Article) - 6/6/2008 5:46:41 PM
Remembering my Mother sitting on the back porch steps in her blue housedress saying it was too hot a day to move. She always made the best fried chicken, breaded it with pancake batter before frying for picnics and always greeted people at her home with homemade pies, and food. Made the best bologna spread for sandwiches. Oh, she came many a time to my house and cooked holiday dinners. She ended up in a church nursing home, due to her own making, and died there. You have made the Watch a fine tribute to your mother too, but our lifestyles were so different. Each of us has our own made memories of Mom though. Thanks for sharing yours with me. Lois C.

Sounds so amazing how you can put the words like this and come out smelling like roses. It is a good write and very interesting, very very interesting, the future could really be like this. Dark, no water, space ships and all you put it in realistic words more than I can. Good doings here.

sunshine (Article) - 5/11/2008 8:22:56 AM
Yes, sunshine is nice in our life but we can make our own sunshine too on dreary days. Just be nice to people and do what you want to do. Everyone at church today was saying not looking forward to rain that is coming tomorrow. Weater is cooler than usual here in PA too. Oh well, take what weather comes, can't change it. Sunny days are ahead soon.

Not all is ever wasted for we learn from each and every smile upon that path.

Gratitude (Poetry) - 11/10/2008 10:26:17 AM
I have gratitude in my heart for you for being my friend, so for being the beloved person you are. God is love and you are loved to by many and it counts to have the love of your friends and to keep the friendships going strong. You can tell the true friends and the false ones. Many are apt to try to destroy your love but they cannot because God won't let them, you are loved and always will be. Stay strong and never give up your dreams, they will come true, just give them time. I have some dreams I am not giving up on too and I know they will come true with time.

Being You Is Good Enough (Poetry) - 6/7/2008 11:16:21 AM
This is an inspirational poem.To quote the US Army commerical "Be All That You Can Be".This is what makes this world a very special place to live.Everybody is different and they should feel proud of who they are no matter what color, race, gender, shape, size, etc. All of us make mistakes and flaws every once in a while.Everybody tries so hard to be like Superman where in reality each and every one of us has a kryptonite.Just keep on smiling and know in your heart that you are good enough and that each day,you are improving your ways. There is always people who are trying to put other people down. That happen to me a lot in my life, but I know better then to let their words stop me from being who I am.Everybody goes through that.I absolutely love your poem and people should use your poem as a way to live their lives and become better and more spiritual human beings.Thank you for sharing your poem Edwin

life (Poetry) - 5/27/2008 11:17:22 AM
I was not too thanksful for today. Upon awakening this morning and realizing I was alive was not a fun thing for me. But I guess I do have lots to be thankful for. As you write so naturally about things, I pine over them and take them too much to hear. Better days are ahead for me, I just feel it. Just not appreciating what I do have now at this day and moment.
