These boys really lived tragic tales. It really is great when a hero comes to town. Even a writer with such wonderful voice as yours. Please keep writing.

Excellent story...YOUR life captivates me!
I had to laugh when you mentioned GWTW...growing up a teenager in Daytona Bch...one night we told our mom we were going to the movies to see GWTW. Well, we didn't go, we went to a party instead.
But, mom always drilled us on the movies we'd see, just to see if we had gone, I guess. Well, this particular night...not one of our friends had seen the movie...My older sister, who was driving, started crying and saying, "You talked me into this...you get me out! I said, "Pull over"...I went into Lums Restuarant and called out to the whole place..."Does anyone here know what GWTW was about and sure enough, this little sweet lady said, "You tell your mom...Frankly dear, I don't give a damn, and your mama will know you saw it!" she proceeded to say, I had to promise her I'd see it!
We were home scott free!
Thanks for the memory...
I enjoyed this...
Love and PEace~
P.S. Nice to meet you!

Very inspiring and I can think of no one better than Margaret Mitchell to be that inspiration. I am intrigued by your citrus family I read about on you bio page, Carolyn...you have a talent for writing and you should continue onward. We, as authors, do need an audience...in a metaphorical way, just like the oranges when ripe need picked to further their journey as nourishment, so do we as writers need picked by someone when we are ripe and ready for that fabulous blurb cover good for all seasons. Good luck to you in your writing. I am looking forward to reading more of your work...be well...Blessed Be.

Dear Carolyn, learning about memories of your past is like looking into a time capsule. Thank you for reliving these times for the rest of us... it's like watching a great classic - endearing! The old orange groves are much different today. They are all bend with age waiting for neighborhoods to replace them. It's sad... but I guess time changes many things. Thanks for sharing! Amy S

Nice write about Mr. Flagler. I am from Florida and I love History. Can you imagine if the railroad to Key West was still active. That would be a hoot!
Peace, love and continued success,

We are clueless. I was in Germany and touring Paris when I really learned of the history of great works in this world. I don't think Walt Disney can be compared in any way. But I did grow up in Victoria, founded by Martin de Leon, if I remember correctly. I made a charcoal rubbing of his tombstone there.

This is great! I love history and this is very good. Though he is never mentioned very much, he was one of the greatest explorers of his day. He deserves more credit than what he has been given over the years. Do not think they teach this in the schools anymore either, sad because they should. Thank you for sharing this.
